I'm having a really hard time with this damn thing. I deleted Antivirus 2010 via the Add or Remove Programs section, but it's totally disabled my Avast and I cannot get the damn thing to enable again. I hope this program helps get rid of this crappy program!

someone help! I didnt download it or anything! I accidently clicked on it and it started scanning my comp, then i made it stop, so it only got a bit of my info. No that is not true, Most antiviruses or for you (Real) ones, have a tenancy to not pick up Rogue viruses. Its always good to protect your computer with an Antivirus and an Anti-Spyware. But if your careful your good man.
for all you disbelievers: SUPERAntiSpyware does work. it is much better than malwarebytes. MWB does not always detect rogue softwares, and even if it does it is only possible to detect them in full scan mode. In Superantispyware you can remove in quick scan. As pompous as the name of the software seems, it is very efficient believe me

my version of this virus seems to have disabled my administrator rights, so i cant open task mnanager, and has basically took a dump on windows , im only on the computer now because i am dualbooted with linux, another reason linux beats windows XD
Haha yeah, you got the shit version. I used to have that, it was a different name though. But it disabled taskmgr and basicly everything that I could use to disable the virus. also took off every program disabling me to run it.
I booted into safemode, found a website that told me the regkeys, ect of the virus. And manually deleted all the shit. you could prob delete the virus from your Linux, but you may need to boot into safemode and delete the regkeys. If you need any more help PM me :P
hi, i have XP antispyware 2010, and i looked at the reg keys, and tried to find them using regedit, but i couldnt find them, i searched and made sure it was the right place, but it wasnt there. I wasnt in safe mode, will it magically appear in safe mode?? I got it while searching the pirate bay, and now i cant shake it off. Please help, this is our only computer!
@ComputerWhack hey, never mind, i used superantispyware and it found and removed it....THANK YOU!!!!! oh and btw for anyone else like soortvan said, if u cant access the internet(THEN WHY ARE YOU READING THIS??!), anyways, go to task manager then delete process av.exe, then use the DESKTOP shortcut and open up IE, from there download superantispyware and run in alternative boot mode.
@bryan350z well to be honest mate, i tried reinstalling windows, and that failed, and yet linux is still, unaffected and has no errors or anything, it picked up my router straight away, the only problem i have is with my webcam and tablet, and i dont use them much anyway

well, I got it, somehow (through a trojan, i think) and I never even saw an ad for it or anything. I got a blue screen from corrupt files, then went searchin my computer, because it is goin ultra slow, and then I found Antivirus 2010 in the all programs thing. It is the second time this has happened. First was because of an MSN pop-up.
Always hit the main power button on your system and shut it down as soon as the fake virus program tries to load. Never click on them. Then just reboot delete browsing history and run your personal antivirus. works like a charm and I have never been infected. ENJOY
