yo that was tight homie. along time ago when RS7000 was still in guitar center i almost got one. wish i would have now, lol. excellent tutorial. keep bangin them tracks.
i have done step recording on it, but its rare... i grew up on realtime recording... its much easier for me to lay the pattern while the machine im usin is recording me, but im glad that the step record option is in there.
set ur sample trigger to manual, bcuz u might have ur auto trigger set too high... i believe i state that in vids 1 or 2... i always sample a little extra in the beginning and the end, then chop what i dont need... also, i used replace... beat sounds more complete now than on this vid then... a lot fuller now with a baseline and stuff.
I got the RS in 02 and I still learned new quick keys from this video (shift button). I also use the zoom streetbox, and old school Roland Dr.202, but can't ever get the sound from the SB and 202 to play manually on the RS. -Answers? Did you find out about changing the touch on the pads?

can u sample your own kicks snares & hats and create ur own patterns with it like an MPC?
cause i usually don't like the sound of the internal factory beats..

awesome man,
what were you using to record the samples?
replace? overdub?
seems like whenever i use those they cut off some of the shit i'm recording.
still learning, and thanks for your help,
keep it coming
