@skeaneable Firestar was created only because they could not use The Human Torch as planned. Something to do with a lawsuit.... Torch was also not in the Fantastic Four cartoon because lawsuit.

Holy Shi^. I remember my best friend and I leaving the television on through the night into the morning while attempting to sleep a drunkfest off from the previous night and having to put up with hearing "swarm, swarm, swarm, swarm" repeated for what seemed like hours on a Sunday morning. I think we both woke up pis&ed off and asked each other who the hell was screaming "swarm" all morning.

Swarm wasn't just a character they made for this cartoon he was created first in the comic book but was a lot cooler in the comic rather than this kids cartoon version.

I'm as much a fan of this show as anyone, but the idea for Swarm has to be one of the funniest ones ever. A bunch of bees form a swarm in the shape of a man. Then the swarm's face yells: "Swarm! Swarm!" and then transforms the old guy into an insect-man. Man, I would have loved to be smoking the you-know-whats at the round table for *this* episode.

This Swarm is different from the Marvel Comics Swarm, because the Marvel Comics Swarm is Fritz Von Meyer a Expatriate Nazi (that's right Nazi) who fed to South America years after the War. He found a massive hive of bees as a result of a meteorite with radiation, they bounded with him and hance forth, he became the Swarm.
