rusty you are crazy i think you only like movies that have happy ending because michael clayton and sweeny todd were good, but i really enjoyed the transformers as well. i can honestly say the story was not really based off the cartoon but it was entertaining as long as you tried not to hold it true to the cartoon. now lake view terrace should have been up there that movie was a big waste.
The worst was probably Meet The Spartans. I am kind of having trouble picking a favorite. I found 2008 to not be the best year of movies. That is why I didn't make a list. If I had to pick one, I would probably say Changeling. What's yours?
I thot changeling was very good. The worst in my opinion would be Lakeview Terrace. And my favourite would be either the Dark Knight, Pineaplle Express or Step Brothers.
no it was actually a play based on an urban legend. (he may or may not have been a real person, lol) but i just love the story. its prolly jus not ur thing :)
WTF are u for real i do agree on about or less about the movie u chose but WTF u most had been high when u saw the movie or havent gotten laid but again WTF u boring ass(srry for that) mother fugder
overall these movies are really bad, but i just cannot believe you would add Micheal Clayton to this list. Also, adding it at # 2 in my opinion, is just outrageous. What you should have added to list is 88 minutes. Im not exactly sure if it was made in 2007 but i think it was. Al pacino's acting was dreadful to watch and the movie made no sense.
100% agree with you on the Mr. Bean/England humour didnt even saw it! Sorry Mr. Beans!!!
Catch and release so/so, there were good parts. I wouldnt list it as one of the worst 25 movies however; I wouldnt call it the most amazing movie of all times either.
Rush Hour 3!!! Really? Hey! By the way, anybody ever told you look a bit like Adam Sandler?
24- Transformers!!!!!!!!!!!!! What??????? Nah man!!! Cmon now! That movie was packed with actions and good humour. I really enjoyed it. I totally disagree with you on that one.
23- Amen on that one though! Ghost Rider was really boring. I love going to the movie theatre. So for me to fall asleep watching this... Need I say more?
22- Georgia Rule! I dont agree at all. I saw that movie and was left surprised, Lindsay did a very good job. The cast of that movie was good.
And dear god! oh my! Rush Hour 3 was absolutely horrible. I did not laugh once, was it a comedy? There is a fine line between being funny (natural) and acting funny (playing up to the audience. It was so apparent. Unbelievably formulaic. I could guess everything in this movie. Brett Ratner--Your Fired!
I will agree probably sololy here on Sweeny Todd which was just a movie to have people sing and Depp to do a bad British accent. I found it a little unnecessarily violent and I would not believe that someone who lost his family would take on the idea of killing random people. Revenge? Yes. Innocents, NO! And you missed the boat on Michael Clayton. It was not as good as the critics said, but that ending was pretty good. It was the 2 hours of build-up that was a tad slow.
I have to disagree with you about Sweeney Todd. I know that I cannot change your opinion about the movie, but please know where it comes from. It was a movie based on the popular broadway musical of the same name that has stood the test of time with several revivals. I guess I just wasn't satisified with "What? What? What? What the hell was this?...What the hell did I just watch?" I kinda wanted actual critiques about the acting/story/direction/script etc.
I didn't say more cause i guess time was limited. Maybe next year i will do less movies so i can say more. But you can read some of my comment replies to see more of my opinion on Sweeney Todd.
I am just not a huge fan of the musical. You'll note that I also found Once (#7) pretty boring. And although I might enjoy visually stunning movies, it usually takes more than that for me to like it. I guess Sweeney Todd was just a little too weird for me.
You're right. As long as you put good movies in your 25 worst and bad movies in your top 25 you will never hear the end of it. Look, I agree about a lot of movies in this list, especially Good Luck Chuck. That movie just sucks the living daylight out of the room. But.. come on, even if you didn't like the humor in Hot Fuzz, you could at least appreciate the acting, the action, the story and the plot twist.. right?
Well, when it comes to comedies, the only real criteria i use to judge them is how much it made me laugh. I don't care about plot or action or anything else in a comedy. Hot Fuzz just didn't make me laugh at all.
I feel sorry for people that don't understand the humor of Hot Fuzz. It's witty, it's clever, the dialogue is briljant, the story is deep and has a nice twist and it also makes fun of rather stupid cop movies like Bad Boys 2 and Point Break in a really subtle way. I can't believe you put movies like Chuck and Larry and Norbit (for christ sakes!!!) in your top 25 while putting Hot Fuzz in your worst 25.
If you think Once and Michael Clayton were boring, then you have no sense of human emotion and drama. Once was a beautiful film about music and how it draws people together. Michael Clayton was a strong moral coutrroom drama. Maybe that just isn't your bag.
Sweeney Todd was excellent as well. I don't even understand you complaints. It was a musical revenge story with gothic visuals and copious bloog and gore. Perfect mix.
Now maybe I can agree with you on the no human emotion. For example, everyone always says how sad The Notebook is, but I didn't find it sad at all. I guess I am just not an emotional guy so those kinds of movies will never appeal to me.
lol.... you make me laugh.. have you tried journalism..? i think you would be really good... i liked Sydney White but if it was crap for it was crap for so nobody should start pissing you for it like you said they were YOUR picks... thanx for this, really informative...
Hey thanks for your comments. No, i have not considered journalism. I can't see me being anything else but a computer nerd for the rest of my life. But this kind of stuff is fun to do on the side.
Here's sum'n short. . . Thanx for h8n on 1 of my fav comedies, Codename: The Cleana. After watching ya video, I see y u were to ignorant to get Michael Clayton. Not enuf Hollywood FX, what's else??? Maybe u should start watchin kids movies. . . I aint mad at u, young'ne.
i dont agree with once, but maybe being a musician myself, it means more to me, or something.
michael clayton DIDNT MAKE SENSE. it was pointless, and stupid. agreed with that and sweeney todd. the only reason people still like tim burton is tyhat he is "different", not good, bt "different". he hasnt been good since ed wood back in 1994.
A lot of people disagreed with sweeney todd and michael clayton pick. I am glad to see someone agree with me on these. Good to know I am not alone on some of my picks. Yeah, maybe if I was more into music I could have appreciated Once more.
i think that the oscars were sorta screwed up that year, and i hope they can recover for '08. like you said though, its just a matter of opinion, and i guess theyre opinion is just different than mine...
Yes I saw Saw 4. It was pretty bad but didn't make this countdown. I have a feeling Saw 5 will. I didn't like Hitman either but don't think it was bad enough to make this list. I didn't see Lions For Lambs.
I am not a fan of musicals either, but I really loved Sweeney Todd!! Tim Burton directed it, so you know right away it is going to be different, but come on.. number 3!! They all did their own singing, the songs they did sing, had incredible lyrics(I love to write songs, so I pay attention to that kind of thing), and the music itself was amazing, oh and of course, *Johnny Depp* was in it!! :) I do agree with the horror movies though.. they really did a bad job with those in '07.
Ghost Rider wasn't THAT bad........it was at least entertaining. LOVED Michael Clayton........kept me interested throughout. And I'll answer your question about how the makers of Saw could come out with something so bad as "Dead Silence"............well, Saw was really crappy too! (YES, Saw fans, I'm talking about the FIRST one!)
sweeney todd was great the best of the year that and there will be blode and you didnt say why you didnt like sweeney todd but i do agre with transformers
Not a huge fan of the musical. You'll note that I also found Once (#7) pretty boring. And although I might enjoy visually stunning movies, it usually takes more than that for me to like it. I guess Sweeney Todd was just a little too weird for me. I usually like stuff that tries to be different, but this was just a little too out there for me.
well i dont agree at all about sweeney todd but to each his owen i didnt liker once that much either or michael clayton but i liked the look music story and acting in sweeney todd
I disagree with your list on the movies I did see. Hot Fuzz and Transformers were my favorite movies of last year. But I agree on Rush hour 3 that did suck. But I do have to say where's Pirates of the Carribean at world's end and spiderman 3.
Pirates of the Caribbean would be one that falls into the category of me not seeing. I really didn't even like the first one so I haven't seen the second or third. I didn't think spiderman 3 was that bad, though.
good list, but transformers was, ok, overrated, i really liked Hot Fuzz, but then again i liked Shaun of the Dead, and i thought Rush Hour 3 was, ok. and yes...delta farce was horrible.
Hey i watch movies allot too so here is what i think :).....I agree with u on the most of the film but hey man transformers huh its one of the greatest movies ive seen tbh =) Good luck chuck was also a great movie i did laugh alot in it :)
I think that corporal propoganda is the reason producers and 100s of other people make awful movies like Delta Farce and good luck chuck. All they care about is millions of dollars not well earned at ALL! Btw, Dane Cook has an awful sense of humor
I agree with every thing but once and michael clayton and I will tell you why. I like ones because I'm a big fan of indie music and I like the emotion in it. michael clayton I liked because of the acting and a lot of people didn't get that movie because of the ending because it was confusing. but I got that movie. any why that's just my opinon.
I completely disagree with you about Hott Fuzz. I thought it was the funniest movie of the year behind Superbad and Knocked Up. But yeah, Larry the Cable Guy is the least funny person alive.
You probably won't even read this but i just thought i'd add my two cents. I guess Hot Fuzz is an aquired taste because i know others that don't like it even though it is one of my favorites. I can't believe you didn't like Michael Clayton.I mght have said that you just don't like movies without violence but you didn't like Sweeney Todd either. I wouldn't be as suprised except i agreed with almost all of your top movies of 2007
Now why would you think I wouldn't read this? I told people to comment because I like discussing movies and hearing different opinions. I don't mind a movie with violence. I just didn't get Michael Clayton or Sweeney Todd at all.
I guess Alvin and the chipmunks would fit in with the disclaimer I gave at the beginning. It just looked so bad that I didn't even give it a chance and watch it. But you are right, that probably was one of the worst of the year.
dude you didnt say why u didnt like sweeney todd u just said what and people liked it becaues of great acting beautiful sets and amazing music and a good story with a good and powefull ending now michael clayton makes more sens becaues it was veary confuesing and realy had no end
Oh Rusty... What were u thinking when u put sweeney todd in that countdown, your other picks i dont have a problem with but god, sweeney todd was awesome!!!
btw, the majority of movies these days do not show the amount of blood that would actually be lost, if u cut someones neck in that way it would be alike to that shown in sweeney todd
I really hadn't noticed it that much until you pointed it out. But everybody has some kind of filler. Would you rather silence instead while I think of the next thing to say? Or maybe I should just talk really slow to make my self seem smart and profound.
Hot Fuzz should be in the best of 2007 list. Its really smart and funny, but i can understand why people outside of britain would see it lke that as a lot of it is based around our culture.
Thanks for the input. That sounds like a good idea but I don't think I could remember that far back. I see so many movies that I would definitely leave out a few.
I thought it was hilarious how you got so mad at some of those movies, that was funny. Really, i'm serious, some movies these days you just have to ask, "why...." But yea, those movies were all pretty bad. However, I do actually disagree with Sweeney Todd, I thought it was spectacular, but opinions are opinions.
Transformers wasnt that bad! Doesnt deserve to be in the top worst niether the best. Hot Fuzz sucked ass, Dane Cook is funny but not in that movie, AVPR was the worst movie of the year....wait no Dragon Wars was. But F U about Rush Hour 3 and 2 they are both realy good.
Dont get me wrong Rush Hour 3 doesnt belong in the top 25 though. Still dont think its the worst of the year, especially with movies like AVPR and Dragon Wars.
Alright dude. You are obviously starving for attention if you keep leaving me the same comments on all my videos. So let me give you some. You are SOOOO clever!!! In the history of the Internet, I don't think anybody has ever called anybody else a fag. How are you so smart and clever?
I agree with your Sweeney Todd review. I didn't get it. I had a hard time watching it. The singing was awkward and I just couldn't enjoy myself. If it wasn't a musical I think I might have liked this. Johnny Depp should really stop automatically volunteering to do Tim Burton movies. It just didn't work for me, neither did Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Corpse Bride.
Hot Fuzz sucked sooooo bad.

I like ones because I'm a big fan of indie music and I like the emotion in it. michael clayton I liked because of the acting and a lot of people didn't get that movie because of the ending because it was confusing. but I got that movie. any why that's just my opinon.

I completely disagree with once and hott fuzz. you´re crazy???
palmitate01 3 years ago
I completely disagree with you about Hott Fuzz. I thought it was the funniest movie of the year behind Superbad and Knocked Up. But yeah, Larry the Cable Guy is the least funny person alive.
nottommy333 3 years ago
Yeah, I can't believe they still are letting him make movies. I just saw Witless Protection and I think it was his worst one ever.
rusty229229 3 years ago
You probably won't even read this but i just thought i'd add my two cents. I guess Hot Fuzz is an aquired taste because i know others that don't like it even though it is one of my favorites. I can't believe you didn't like Michael Clayton.I mght have said that you just don't like movies without violence but you didn't like Sweeney Todd either. I wouldn't be as suprised except i agreed with almost all of your top movies of 2007
c4m3r0ntroy 3 years ago
Now why would you think I wouldn't read this? I told people to comment because I like discussing movies and hearing different opinions. I don't mind a movie with violence. I just didn't get Michael Clayton or Sweeney Todd at all.
rusty229229 3 years ago
can you specificly explain why you did not like hot fuzz?
COME ON!!!
it has a great plot, good action, cinematography, the dialogue was extreamly brilliant, and a very good twist in the middle.
wolfgar45 3 years ago
To make it simple, it just didn't make me laugh. That is the only thing a comedy needs to do and I just didn't get it.
rusty229229 3 years ago
well it's not a very bad movie.
COME ON!
wolfgar45 3 years ago
i loved mr beans holiday and hot fuzz..but everyone has a different opion..and your right about rush hour 3 it wasn't as good as he first 2

you forgot alvin and the chipmunks and norbit but i do agre with you on transformers it had realy good efects but bad script weeak acting dumb plot
sonicfan74 3 years ago
I guess Alvin and the chipmunks would fit in with the disclaimer I gave at the beginning. It just looked so bad that I didn't even give it a chance and watch it. But you are right, that probably was one of the worst of the year.
rusty229229 3 years ago
dude you didnt say why u didnt like sweeney todd u just said what and people liked it becaues of great acting beautiful sets and amazing music and a good story with a good and powefull ending now michael clayton makes more sens becaues it was veary confuesing and realy had no end
sonicfan74 3 years ago
Not a huge fan of the musical. You'll note that I also found Once (#7) pretty boring. And although I might enjoy visually stunning movies, it usually takes more than that for me to like it. I guess Sweeney Todd was just a little too weird for me. I usually like stuff that tries to be different, but this was just a little too out there for me.
rusty229229 3 years ago
Oh Rusty... What were u thinking when u put sweeney todd in that countdown, your other picks i dont have a problem with but god, sweeney todd was awesome!!!
bryzaa 3 years ago
1) u get bored WAY to easily
2) How can Anthony Hopkins be in a distant prequel?
3) Hot Fuzz? Sweeney Todd? Michael Clayton? wtf...maybe u ARE that out of touch w/ reality...
yea, its all subjective...but DAMN!...I could see u not liking Sweeney Todd but to say its worse the D Wars....just...damn...wow.
SixStringGunSlinger 3 years ago
My point about Hannibal Rising was that it should not have been made because Anthony Hopkins is the only Hannibal.
rusty229229 3 years ago
You suck dude Rush Hour Was A Halarious Movie dude career advice you should go work at KFC instead of being a film credit
Skitsforeveryone 3 years ago
transformers shoulda been in ur top 25 movies it was good but ur opinion is ur opinion
Cloverfieldowns 3 years ago
I agree about the sweeney todd. Blood should not shoot out of someone's neck with that kind of force!
samusarans 3 years ago
btw, the majority of movies these days do not show the amount of blood that would actually be lost, if u cut someones neck in that way it would be alike to that shown in sweeney todd
bryzaa 3 years ago
the only thing i didnt like was that you put the brothers solomen on there that was hilarious
fst6videos1 3 years ago
I didn't get that one at all.
rusty229229 3 years ago
hey kickin it old school had bobby from MADTV... Awesome reviews..
fst6videos1 3 years ago
If you cut out the "You Know" you'll be able to talk about more movies in shorter time.
Wasn't knocking you in a bad way, just pointing out the fact that its becoming an epidemic.
As for watching sports interviews, forget about it. lol it's a "You Know" fest.
One last thing.
Transformers was O.K. for a "Michael Bay" movie.
His movies suck ass!
TrikkerMan2 3 years ago
the "You Know" syndrome.
If I knew I wouldn't watch nor listen.
More and more people are getting this habit of saying "You Know" way too much.
TrikkerMan2 3 years ago
I really hadn't noticed it that much until you pointed it out. But everybody has some kind of filler. Would you rather silence instead while I think of the next thing to say? Or maybe I should just talk really slow to make my self seem smart and profound.
rusty229229 3 years ago
Hot Fuzz should be in the best of 2007 list. Its really smart and funny, but i can understand why people outside of britain would see it lke that as a lot of it is based around our culture.
instantclassic27 3 years ago
A lot of people from America actually did like this movie. But I just didn't get it.
rusty229229 3 years ago
Also, you should make some more videos for "Worst Movies" lists, like, do 2000 to 2006 or something, cuz bashing crap movies is entertaining, lol
sirjazz21 3 years ago 2
Thanks for the input. That sounds like a good idea but I don't think I could remember that far back. I see so many movies that I would definitely leave out a few.
rusty229229 3 years ago
I thought it was hilarious how you got so mad at some of those movies, that was funny. Really, i'm serious, some movies these days you just have to ask, "why...." But yea, those movies were all pretty bad. However, I do actually disagree with Sweeney Todd, I thought it was spectacular, but opinions are opinions.
sirjazz21 3 years ago
Transformers wasnt that bad! Doesnt deserve to be in the top worst niether the best. Hot Fuzz sucked ass, Dane Cook is funny but not in that movie, AVPR was the worst movie of the year....wait no Dragon Wars was. But F U about Rush Hour 3 and 2 they are both realy good.
godofwar2master 3 years ago
It is good to see someone agree with me on Hot Fuzz. But I am sticking to my review of Rush Hour 3. The same old stuff has gotten old to me.
rusty229229 3 years ago
Dont get me wrong Rush Hour 3 doesnt belong in the top 25 though. Still dont think its the worst of the year, especially with movies like AVPR and Dragon Wars.
godofwar2master 3 years ago
fag.
DansHavis 3 years ago
Alright dude. You are obviously starving for attention if you keep leaving me the same comments on all my videos. So let me give you some. You are SOOOO clever!!! In the history of the Internet, I don't think anybody has ever called anybody else a fag. How are you so smart and clever?
rusty229229 3 years ago
Well it's tough to be so smart, I guess I'm gifted.
DansHavis 3 years ago
I agree with your Sweeney Todd review. I didn't get it. I had a hard time watching it. The singing was awkward and I just couldn't enjoy myself. If it wasn't a musical I think I might have liked this. Johnny Depp should really stop automatically volunteering to do Tim Burton movies. It just didn't work for me, neither did Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Corpse Bride.
MonicaBailey 3 years ago 2
It is good to see someone agree with me on that one. I seen that movie getting such good reviews and I just didn't get it.
rusty229229 3 years ago
