Removal of Lobley Hill Footbridge

I think that it was built around 1966, the year I left Lobley Hill Junior School. The big tragedy was when they knocked the old school down.

my Mam and Dad still live on the bank, I cant get used to it not being there, used to use it everyday on my way to Hillhead school. Wish I'd stuck in!!

@theyjam I left Hillhead in 1978, but used to walk to the shops near the bridge.

I was there! I was almost crying, I loved that bridge. It had been there since I was born!
