Her first four albums were true folk; then she followed Dylan and went electric. I know she was "expanding her horizens", but I was very disappointed with her decision to do that. I saw her twice in concert and it was something to remember, both times.
@parsonsrules Have you seen her in concert lately? She has resurrected several of the songs from those early albums, and most of her concert is done on acoustic guitar. Her new CD will be out June 8, featuring a duet with Stephen Stills on Tom Paxton's "The Last Thing On My Mind."
@parsonsrules Rolling Stone's Record Guide divided her arc into: Judy Collins: traditional folk singer, modern folk singer, and art singer. It's fairly accurate: she went, frm donig things like "A Man of Constant Sorrow" and other trad stuff to doing modern folk, in the Dylan mode but also with her own spin. Then, with, I think "In My Life", a Beatles compo done in her own inimitable style, she moved beyond into her own territory. Either way, I love her,her and those blue eyes.
I did not have a video with Judy singing this song. I studied it years ago for an exam in England (in a book with poems written by the author of the words : the well known Irish writer William Butler Yeats). Wonderful "Art song" as Judy Collins says.
Quite a bit more moving than even the beautiful rendition on the earlier recording than she did. Thanks for sharing this.

At the very beginning of the video, Judy says the proper title;
Wandering Aengus
Beautiful voice.
