  • Hey can you tell me what preset your using at begnning of video its awesome!

  • Dude you are the king of guitar rig, your videos are amazing, keep them coming : )

  • Yours is the best demo I've heard of Guitar Rig yet. Lot's of nice in-between tones. I have to ask, what tube preamplifier are you using? Does it really make that much difference compared to when you switch it out? Does it give your guitar more "sag"? Thanks!

  • Do I need to buy an external soundcard for my computer to use this or does it come with some kind of soundcard? I haven't bought any soundcard yet and the one that comes with the motherboard is'n allways to good.

  • loved this vid... great sound and great guitar player...

  • I have a question. I want to play guitar rig 4 pro live through my Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue and i was wondering if that was possible or it would totally mess up the sound. Any help would be great!!!!!

  • The result is awesome !

But can you tell me how do you record with Guitar Rig ? I don't get it =/

  • 1:08 - 1:27

what's the name of this song??

  • Thanks for the review. Your video is what made me ditch my Boss GT10 for the GR4. Haven't looked back! Thanks again. Native Instruments should put you on payroll.

  • Hey man, I think its against the law to play that good. So I think your gonna havta make some mistakes in your next vid bro. You dont want "the man" to come knockin at your door.

How connected guitar ? by USB ?

  • sounds good :-)

  • i can't mine to work, there is no sound coming from the speakers

  • Mate awsome sound!! Hi from oz. How are you routing the sound and what gear are you using. thx.

  • nice

  • hey when ur using the whammy didnt it go out of tune.

  • I dont know how to hook this up? Do i put my guitar to my laptop or what? i cant get no sounds

  • man how do you make it sound that well?, my guitar rig makes a lot of noises at the back and i cant record anything because of that... to play guitar rig 5 i have to put the gate at the max but i lose a lot of sustain and i dont like it -.-. so, how do you remove those noises and dont lose some sustain at the same time?

    P.D: sorry for my english

  • @Elsupertodo Seems like you have the same problem as me! Very noisy when i crank it up.. The problem could be that I don't use any interface (like maudio), I just run it directly to PC. Do you plug your guitar directly too? If so it might be the problem, but I'm not sure...

  • @Elsupertodo use a better pre amp man.sounds like you're going through the audio card built-in your computer. They are always crappy lol

  • That's one hot Strat you got there ! Ö Road Worn series?

  • 4:00 you nailed the "THX" movie intro sound P: hhaha

  • Where do you hook up the guitar?

  • chiagat in di brac asan!

  • Guitar rig 4 sounded terrible through the steinberg ci2 interface on cubase. Some of the cleaner sounds were pretty cool, but the distorted presets were very noisy and crappy. This guy's rig sounds quite nice though.

  • how does your strat trem stay so well in tune?!?!!?!!

  • hey what interface are u using with it? The pedal thing comes with it or some other sound card?

  • can we connect an acoustic guitar for guitar rig/?

  • I have guitar Rig 4 on my notebook working perfectly...

But I tried to install it to my desktop computer and the output doesn't work and I can't hear the guitar sound with the effects, anyone knows how to solve that?

  • @pariahthe same problem :/

  • Im gonna try that , i think its way better then my amp :S

    (Fender Frontman 15G)

  • at the end of the video you say "i will test it live", did you test it live? most guitarists are pussies and dont trust laptops but a laptop with the right preset can be a beast!

if you tested it live - how did it go? :)

  • Everyone who is having bad quality sound, what you need is a "usb interface" that u plug in via usb which can get u better quality sound.

  • i got noises at distored effect what i have to do ?

  • @hogoamin Use noise reduction, it's on the "Vol" tab

  • nice review, btw when i play in guitar rig i get very noise, how can i resolve that?

  • stop abusing the tremolo!

  • two words. "subscription added"

  • one more thing, im using a guitar cable that is connected to the amp and to the back of the computer line in or microphone, which neither one worked, with a 1/4 inch socket in the back of the computer.

  • I have a quetion. I have guitar rig 4, a free version not demo, and i downloaded asio4all to get my guitar working. i used the line-in and the microphone jack and it does not work. My asio config has two yellow signs in the realtek hd audio mic input and a yellow sign in the audio stero input. I would appreciate it if you can help me, my computer gets the signal of the of the wire im using in the jack but i dont know if its receiving the signal of the guitar, im using an amp by the way. Thanks

  • What interface do you use?

  • Hey dude. Awsome playing. What interface/soundcard do you use?

  • what amp do you use for the output?

  • Holy shit. Why does yours sound about 20 times better than mine.

  • hey dude are u using a foot controller??? which one recommend me??? not the one that guitar rig offer another one cheaper.... to play alive in church

  • great.., thx for posting this demo!

    cheers ;)

  • Hey, have you guys seen the new Windows 7 equipped StudioBLADE keyboard workstation? Its perfect for running all of your Windows compatible software and plug-ins! Click the link below to check the videos on our channel!

  • Question: Are you using a pedal board at all?

  • That chopper sounds awesome! Quite a bit of warmth for a bridge pickup but great overdriven. nice!

  • Hey friend nobody can reply this message, as I said I have bought a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra audio interface, but the sound on GR4 sound weak and poor, really I spent 449 USD on this, i connect the guitar via frontal mic panel or back analog panel and both gives me bad sound quality and poor sound. and i use my creative sound blaster for output (because i have 5.1 speakers)pleas anybody that could say what should i do?

  • you're really good! i subscribed to you, when you can, check out the guitar vids on my page

  • yo i jsut brought an audio interface but when i use guitar rig i get a really bad sound no latenecy just a shit sound any idea what might be wrong?

  • great video!

but how did you record the guitar playing for the vid?

i have guitar rig also, but i dont know how to record with it

  • @cocunut200 Tried using it as a VST plugin with Cubase or FL Studio, something like that?

  • how does this work? i have a macbook pro laptop. if i would buy komplete 7 with guitar rig 4 in the program what do i need to get if i want to practice in the garage with my band or live performances. how do i plugg all this?

  • great vid!!

  • great demo. thanks heaps!!

  • im a beginner in using guitar rig..why do i feel a lag between my picking and the sounds?is there anyway to correct this?what kind of audio driver did you use for GR4?i was told to use ASIO..

  • @blankShot8787

you fix it by tweaking the settings in File , Audio & Midi settings

when there change the sample rate and or go into the ASIO settings as well and change your buffer and or tweak the sample rate as well . One or more of those tweaks will fix ya ;)

  • love the guitar!

  • amazing!

i will use it to play a lot!!

  • Hey, how do you plug in a tube preamp with a USB audio interface?

  • Revalver crashed like crazy!

  • Sick playing dude and great overview of guitar rig :)

  • nice, I have the same amp :D

  • 7:00 called gods love :D For the love of god-Steve Vai :D how sweet sound :D

  • yeah sounds cool....any latency?..when playing really fast etc...

  • hi, i just downloaded this and i think i'm having the same problem as MrJevio =( i tried adjusting the bars at the top but that didn't work, do i need a preamp?

  • **more than one amp at the same time

  • Can you use an a/b pedal and use more than one amp in this software?

  • Great vid. Pardon me asking but what is that style of playing you do around 7:30 and how the heck do you do it? I have been trying and failing for ages.

  • @jaffabend hey dude that's called "tapping" check some eddie van halen!

  • @adriantrackssongs I see it done all around (especially Van Halen) but didn't know what it was called. I just can't seemt to get that sound even loading lots of sustain on a Gibson Les Paul for crying out loud. Thanks for the reply. I will have a search.

  • why is my sound not clear as urs

its really noisy ..especially wen i turn up the volume

all i can here is this annoyin sound " weee weeee ssss weewooo"

some1 pliz here this realy sucks

  • @MrJevio what sound card/audio interface are you using..??? if your interface doesn't have a guitar or instrument preamp, maybe you need one..!!!

  • @kabirnagranee O i c

    thanks

  • @MrJevio Check for interfering electronics in the range off your guitar .

Energy saving lightbulb are known for interfering.

Also computer monitors could also interfere.

Check your cables.Check your usb cable.

It couls also be your computer. Please make sure you computer components are stable. It could be an earthing loop.

  • @MrJevio I had the same problem. Reduce your imput level to the minimun, and increase output to near max. You do this with the two bars at the top. The background "whee' will completely dissapear

  • Hey buddy, how are you going in? you said a preamp into the Mbox interface then into guitar rig?

  • sick

  • digital amp modeling will be the equivalent to a real amp someday and almost already is. if you have the right high end quality preamps and interfaces and the right gear, you can use it for all of your professional mixes and sound great. go check out dimitar nalbantov's videos of all the amp modeling softwares he reviews, its amazing some of the tones you can get out of these things nowadays

  • but in the mix ?? .....

  • @vangelius666

    Also in the mix.

It's a lot better thean my line 6 pod x3 live.

    And my Zoom g9.2tt

  • Funky riffs man :D

  • thanks for all the questions guys, i will be making a series of tutorials based on guitar rig!

  • Hey man - Can you kindly tell me what you used to record the guitar rig sound and the video at the same time?

  • Hey nice stuff dude ;) How did you get the stereo effect?? Is there an option in guitar rig?? Ta

  • how do you make it so that your audio is perfectly in sync with your video. i just got guitar rig 4 and ive been doing many recordings and when i record it with video i always am off by a few seconds so my playing on the video doesn't match the sound. what do i have to do!?!

  • @prsguy14 JUST RECORD THE VIDEO AND AUDIO SEPARATELY AND THEN MATCH IT USING MOVIE MAKER OR SOME PROGRAM OF THE SORT

  • I didnt like this software for a long time(sorry I bought it,at first) but then 1 day I just started to mess with some of the presets and now I love it,even tho amplitube 3 is my favor Guitar Rig 4 is not far behind

  • I thought guitar rig sounded bad until Up'd that sample rate to 92k and ticked that little HI button next to the cpu usage. It improved the sound from digital, to completely awesome. Still it's no tube amp, but very usable considering it's functionality. Not the best tone, but it's an affordable alternative for the exploritive types.

  • @Rickles that's right man!

  • @Rickles Great tip, cheers!

  • @Rickles hay i just did what you said and man what a difference guitar rig 4 sound fantastic now

  • Good Demo. But still prefer ReValver. So much more organic sounding!

  • @jxd549 i found out that guitar rig actually sounds better on a mix, or at least to me, but revalver sounds better to jam.

  • @adriantrackssongs That's fair enough dude. Both sound very good. I think ReValver gives you abit more tweakability in terms of tone. But I've found guitar rig to better in the effects section. Each to their own.

    None the less...Awesome demo!

  • @jxd549 Revalver =FAIL it sounds nothing like its true counter parts

  • @cast390 That's true. But neither does GR. GR simulations sound far too synthetic. Out of the two ReValver seems to be the more believable, but that is my humble opinion. At the end of the day, nothing is going to beat the sound of sound waves smacking against electrons in the air and being picked up through a mic. Original is original.

  • GR rulez

  • it felt like getting hit by an airplane.

  • @hamelkarl I try that already.. im using my soundcard (creative fatality x-fi) through my adapter direct to my guitar! only i hear is a noise scratches sound i dont know if it is a feedback! what setting should i do in order to play it clearly? thanks for the reply!

  • @hamelkarl I try that already.. im using my soundcard (creative fatality x-fi) through my adapter direct to my guitar! only i hear is a noise scratches sound i dont know if it is a feedback! what setting should i do in order to play it clearly? thanks for the reply!

  • i dig his verve, not trying to be perfect-yes? quite the picker I reckon tons of fun thanks. i want guitar rig4-no question about it.

  • I should go buy a cable right now

  • omfg 2:45 - 4:05 pure eargasm! O_O

  • @mazi710 thank you!

  • I can't afford to buy the software, so I got it "some other way"... And I of course don't have any equipment that comes with the bought Guitar Rig. I just plug it through the mic input, download some asio drivers and it, well, works...sort of. I can't use it on stage though. So I want to know if there's any equipment I can buy to make it sound better? What is a StealthPlug? I would appreciate any help.

  • It's nice to make love to your guitar every now and then, ain't it? :]

  • @PetrovichStefan it is, always a pleasure.

  • hey dude can i use this guitar rig 4 without a kontrol rig? im only using my cable direct to the pc?

  • @metalfreak you can with pluging your guitar right into your Line In or Mic imput from your computer. You might need an adapter. The other better solution is using an interface or sound card that have the imput for the guitar.

  • i use presonis' audiobox usb interface, love it

  • guitar hero !

  • Hi! how does guitar rig work? Do you hear the tone you have chosen through your monitors or do you add the tone after you've recorded? And can you use a POD X3 live as your audio interface? Thanks!

  • @tucker10 you hear the tone live, more or less 5-15ms of latency depending on your system. You can use it!

  • Nice tone. But I personally like Amplitube 3 more. The sound is very close to real amps and real mics. Have you tried it?

Guitar Rig 4 is also great though. I especially like the special effect presets. lol

  • @ransisua got amplitube 3 too, i like also, but for me guitar rig is more suited.

  • everyone sais "the real amp sounds better"... no shit, the software is only a "model" of the amps. That being said, I find guitar rig to be an amazing tool to help understand different types of effects and tones in situations where i dont have access to my "modeled" amp.

  • @sk8tboarder18 great comment man, you are 100% right.

  • @sk8tboarder18 wanna get better than you will need to try overloud th1 better than any of amplitube or guitar rig

  • @sk8tboarder18 it is a real amp wen u run it through a real amp u got every effect :)

  • @SeGaSaTuRn1994 Yes you are correct, but a lot of the amp sims try to imitate already existing amplifiers

  • sounds GREAT !

  • hi man good playing!! i don't own this program yet. If I understood, we create the sound that we want with the program and then when we got all our sound, we can transfer them in the pedal and we don't need to program while playing without the computer?? Please answer me it'll be appreciated and sorry if my english isn't perfect :)

  • @lespaulultra712 hey there, not really you always need the computer to run it.

  • seems like you are the (!) one who i'd like to play in a band with... congratulations... it's like you ain't need no words, but speaking through your guitar. you got the vibe man, seriously.

  • I thought technology has improved.

    this sound pretty plastic.Completely artificial.

  • @proxy69 you can find a good tone with almost anything man, artificial?... that's bad?

  • where did you get that vest?? My guitar sounds like shit!

  • im using rig 4 through a behringer usb interface but no sound comes out through my speakers, although imput and output are registered. When using earphones connect directly to the usb interface, sound comes through. anyone know how to register it through the computer speakers?

  • @tangypasta connect the speakers to the sound card!

  • @adriantrackssongs lol i dont have one but i used a 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter and so plugged my speakers directly into the interface. it works now but i have a high pitched background noise in the background especially on distorted channels. its not feedback as i can put guitar volume to mute and its still there.

  • @tangypasta If you have a high pitched noise just look at the top right corner of the input control and click learn, makes the noise go away...

  • Cool!

  • hey bro!

is it possible to play youtube/itunes music while using guitar rig? I get no sound from youtube/itunes when i am playing guitar rig!!

    thank you!

  • @infinityjet go to the tapedeck and open a song file and play it from there. all ur itune songs will be located in your music folder. (go to music, then itunes, itunes media, music then artist and select your song).

  • @tangypasta

thanks! but most of the files are mpeg4 and tape deck cant play mpeg4 files so i have to convert to mp3

I just need to find a way to play both youtube and guitar rig 4 through my headphones!

  • pro q longooooooo!!!!!!

    jajajaja

    jamil....

    tu macho...io te cabezeeeoo..duro y feo y te doy x l orkitrokis

  • how do u plug the guitar in?
