Icelandair was my way to Europe, now gone.  I think British Airways stole the route from BWI...business travelers spend $1000 for the trip, we tourists are forgotten.

BTW...God Bless Iceland! I hope you brothers can find a way out of your money troubles! I love your country. I spent some good times on Laugavegur in Reykjavik!

I'm Icelandic so have been flying Icelandair all my life. Good pilots, not to turned on by the service though. And until now, the interior has always been way to cramped. Icelandair are now refitting the interior of the whole fleet and I´m looking forward to seeing how that will improve (hopefully) the comfort. I love the 757 and 767 but look very much forward to the new 787! If you travel to Iceland be sure to take a domestic flight on the F50, especially to Isafjordur.

Really famliar sound, the whining of the flaps. I flew on 757 4 times last summer, every time Iceland air. Hate how cramped it is inside though (2 rows of three seats)

When landing from east to west like in this video, it's best to sit on the starboard side - on a clear day you can see the city of Annapolis, the state capitol building, the Naval Academy and nicer views.
