someone tell me why, in 30 years years these guys didn't make it big time. I watched then--no followed them around in the 77-82 around the notheast. Why?
I remember when i use to go listen to this band in NY and would drive in a blizzard to see them. I haven't heard this band in a very long time. I just happen to be skimming through you tube and found them on here. WOW great band! Sure wish they would come to AZ now. If ever in AZ look me up.
I represent the Mississippi chapter of Rats fans - yes, Mississippi. I've only been listenig to th band since 1984. But, this version of the band rocks!!!!
I remember in the late 70's/early 80's going out to the Rockaway Club in Rockaway Beach and to other clubs in the city and hearing about The Good Rats but never getting a chance to see them. Its a shame because they were such a great band. I am happy that Pepi is still sounding so good.
I have been hanging out with the Rats since 1979 at the Fore and Aft in NY. They most recently know me as "California Adam". We burned in Poughkeepsie. I bug Pepe about playing out here in Hollywood. I like "Rats the way you like it"!
Antspants, I didn't realize until now that you were the bass player I saw. I see that from your last post (i saw 2000 of those fans this week they love me). Why would you put down the last bass player and self promote yourself, saying your the best looking guy you've ever seen. You're this Stefan guy (a friend told me your name) I saw on bass. I can see you in other videos on YouTube. Isn't it shameful to self promote yourself and put others down? Ya can't play dude, face it! PS- learn english!
That would explain it. I saw them 5 months ago.The bass player was just horrible! Must have been before the drummer took his place. Someone there told me the reason they let him fake his way around on bass was he was the singers son, but the same guy also said the guitar player was the singers son. The guy had no right pretending to be a bass player, he ruined the entire band. From what I hear, he caused lots Good Rat fans to turn thier backs on the band, and understandably so. He was sooo bad!

very funny the guy they use now actually plays the right notes plus he the best looking guy i ever saw and his use to play drums in the band and rights his own songs and sings. this other guy could never do that in fact he left the band to play in a u2 tribute band those bass lines r really hard lol. if u listen closley he overplays so much he hits wrong notes

these guy's can sure play, and what a great point of view shot over the shoulder of the front man. this is something that is seldom seen in a music viedo, the filmmaker should be granted an academy award for this short film!

very funny the guy they use now actually plays the right notes plus he the best looking guy i ever saw and his use to play drums in the band and rights his own songs and sings. this other guy could never do that in fact he left the band to play in a u2 tribute band those bass lines r really hard lol. if u listen closley he overplays so much he hits wrong notes
