i really have a hard time feeling sorry for the protestors. I heard and I may be wrong the reason the cops tried to stop the "march" was because they strayed from their permitted route or didn't have a permit at all. Protestors were throwing objects at them, as seen in the video, and the police were protecting themselves. Look, theres hundreds, if not thousands of people there. @jacobuj Yea I was looking for the signs of a riot as well. You know, a flipped car, something on fire, injured cop or two. At least a brick flying or busted window. The only signs I see are riot police and a big can of whoop ass being handed out by the police, and for no reason. Its like the Oakland police said, "hey boys, its getting kinda boring around here, what can we do?" Someone said "hey theres that group of protesters down there, lets go kick some ass". "Yeaa go kick ass, lets go whoo!"

@goldengirl19 when the cops want you to disperse, you disperse. you dont stand there and throw shit at the police. i saw a video in which a couple was simply standing near the police with the gas going up around them. they werent screaming at them, they were simply standing there waiting for it to clear to walk away.....AND GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!????????????? @TheMCBADGER yeah, i saw a video on an unconscious veteran on the floor. Cops provoked it, by tearing down their camp and destoying their personal belongings. The people want to assemble let them fucking assemble. Cops were beating the shit out of people and trying to arrest them. They create the tension and everyones supposed to go home like nothing happened. Fuck all those bullshit permits they snuck into the constitution, thats not how shit gets done.

If this was really a "riot" or a unruly "mob" as so many are quick to say, those cops would have been beaten to a pulp or even killed. The fact they're left unharmed despite the oppression and tyranny they inflict on peaceful protests is a true sign of how morally superior these protests are compared to the status quo of corruption and police brutality.

I watched the videoseveral times so I could follow the actions of the guy with the green backpack that the riot police tackled in this video. The guy was not doing ANYTHING and only started running when the police started chasing him for no reason. Watch it closely. Citizens started throwing things after this meaningless and brutal attack from police.

When they push the cops, it's not in the hopes that the cops won't respond, but that they will. The protesters aren't looking for anything you could call dialogue; they're looking to provoke an incident that they can then feel righteous indignation over. If they hit a cop and he hits back, their response isn't "oh no!" but "oh yeah! D'you get that on film?"

That Crowd could have ripped those police apart. Obviously that WAS NOT There attention and it was a peaceful protest. Hell the police charged into the middle of the crowd and got enghulfed. It's not like the protestors intentionally surrounded them. Still they did not do violence...Until the police gathered numbers and weapons and turned violent on the American Citizens practicing their RIGHT to assemble and protest.
