Joss Stone, Alanis Morissette & James Morrison- three great music artists who are so underrated & need much more attention. Guys, respect their talent & listen to 'em.

@ShauryaAashish Yay for James Morrison!! Him and Joss Stone are two of my favorite singers, but they get barely any recognition. But then there are those silly tween artists who can't even sing getting millions of views... it's a sad world we live in.
NOT A VOICE LIKE THAT SINCE JANIS JOPLIN..SOME OF THE STUFF SHE DOES GIVES ME GOOSEBUMPS NEVER DOWN KNOCKING JANIS BUT THIS YOUNG WOMAN IS THE CLOSEST IF NOT BETTER THAN JANIS JOPLIN..& I thought that would never come from me.(and to all the black or white shit that don't make a fricking bit of difference) she's got it she knows it and she wears it very well....Keep on with it Joss.
lets drop race and recognize talent for talent regardless of race take charice popenga or whatever its spelled shes philippino but has an amazing voice Joss is JOSS pure soul pure soultry goodness just love it for what it is... stop the race BS...
She's my idol! I wish there were more singers like her, with a deep souly voice and not those high pitchy ones, they get on one's nerves after a while.. there just aren't enough of singers like her
@lyndsiii There are tons of them, just when they are black, no one likes them. The second you have a white person that sounds like they are black, they sell like crazy. Just the way the world is today. People just don't like good black singers anymore. The sad part is when you point out the truth they deny it.
@003590510 She recorded her first album at the age of 14! She is a wondergirl, not because she's white. And what do you mean, they don't like the good black singers anymore? What about Beyonce, Adele, India Arie, Leona Lewis? Aren't those all great black singers?
It's remarkable when a white woman can sing soul as well as joss. It's something that comes to blacks more naturally. I bet if a black woman would sing opera, she'd become famous pretty fast, as there are no black opera singers.
@lyndsiii There are no black opera singers? There certainly are, and there have been for decades. Leontyne Price's 1961 performance as Leonora in Verdi's Il Trovatore at the Metropolitan Opera received a 42 minute ovation.
@JohnBT333 didn't you see my second post? I changed it. I didn't think of Leona Mitchell, which I do listen to once in a while. I will admit that I don't listen to much opera, so I listen to "mainstream" opera singers, and most are white. Will have to look up Leontyne Price. My point was that opera is something typically sung by white people, also "invented" by white people. Black "invented" soul music. So someone from opposite skin color who is good at it is amazing.
Who cares what skin color a singer has? Doesn't mean they're any worse at it than others. I mean, do you know how many musicians there are that aren't famous and make 1 million times better music than the famous ones? Doesn't have to do with skin color. Joss Stone isn't that well known either. That is, no one I know listens to her, heck has even heard of her. Her concert was in a small concert hall when she came to zurich. She's been in business longer than leona and isn't as well known as her.
I have known of Joss Stone and I liked her but I never really knew her music. I heard this song just recently and it now ranks up there with my top ten favorites ever! Such a true lyric!!!
omg looooooooooove this song and joss stone she has an amazing voice and is sooo unique unlike other pop stars.... and i like how she sometimes goes barefoot on live performances LOVE U JOSS
@kcoolkittie i agree but she's not really all that unique...her style is 100% taken from the old black blues and R&B artists like Etta James, Chaka Kan, and so many others but i think she's great too
nice song lol my ex dedicated this to me..

@lyndsiii Sorry, I meant to change that comment. Very few black opera singers that can keep up with the white ones.
