Yeah, the eyes ,.... I noticed you paid a lot more attention to it - but its cool coz Olivia has the best pair of eyes I've seen.

i think you did to much with it at the end you would have been better leaving it alittle less.. um detailed or something but i think at 2:22 your perfect it just got to busy t the end and tomuch black around the eyes

I know. This definitely isn't my best work, although the dark eyes was intentional to draw attention to the eyes and to add more contrast.

Just wanted to say that I bought a few Derwent pencils (Turned out to be a few cents cheaper on DickBlick). They are great for smooth shading, much more than General's, but I noticed that they don't do darks too well. I use the two brands in tandem now to get both smoothness and dark blacks.

Ok...I've only used Generals erasers though..never any pencils...derwent is highly recommended by a lot of people though.

No....10F is the lightest(hardest). 10B is the darkest(softest)

Both of us were referring only to General's charcoal pencils, which range only from HB to 6B. I understand that brands like Staedler have a much larger range of pencils in general.

how do u blend the charocal so well? do you put pressure on your blending tool?  did you use a blending stump?

I do apply quite a bit of pressure, and I use a blending stump as well. I bought them online, I think from DickBlick.
