This is an awesome tool, I was just wondering, what is the normal response to a guy playing with it, for the most part a lot of the videos of this and hoop have been women, just wanted to ask your opinion and perspective. Thank you :-)

Gender doesn't matter as much as grace, style and attitude. I've seen many guys rock the flow-wand or dance with it beautifully. If you look like you are having fun or mastering it, people don't think of whether you're male/female. Many used to think that poi was for females - I think nobody thinks that today!

I borrowed one from my friend Dan, and I have to say I'm really enjoying dancing with it, and people seem to enjoy seeing me dance with it, so it seems like it's a win/win. One question though, what do you use for string? I've been using string for Bracelets, but its seems a little too visible at times.

Well, with poi, when girls do it, it look like it's a very dancy, feminine thing, yet guys can do poi as well without directly mimicing this style, in their own particular idiom. The same is true of a flow wand.

Thanks! I made everything except for the long skirt, which I got at High Sierra Music Festival 3 years ago. I think it's made by Zuvuya Wear, but I can't find any info on them online.

it's really simple ... stick on a string like a magician's dancing cane, though they are so hard to make that we don't really want to make that many to sell :)
