i used to love tv when i got used to it. but after a while i moved somewhere where we did not watch tv, we went to the beach, walks,bakery whatever and life became much better in a sudden! I know tv is so addictive and im sure if i sat down i can stay there for hours but i think it would be a good idea to make more programs out of watching tv. I love series, but i prefer watching them on my own time, not on TV... Especially because i live in Croatia, we usually have to wait for weeks or months before they play the latest episodes. I have to admit, i steal them from the internet :)

Desperate Housewives!!! It was so sad :( Lynette's scene had me crying my eyes out! And that make up scene with Gabby and Lynette at the end when Lynette says "we were going to call him Patrick, and he would have been amazing" had me suicidal! It was so sad! I love that you watch it too ^.^

Thanks, Buck--watching this video was strangely kind of liberating for me. I'm an only child and my parents were gone a lot, so TV was my company, but my mom thought TV was bad so I wasn't supposed to watch more than 1/2 hr a day! (I did, though.) Now my husband wants to get rid of cable to save money, and it's hard for me to explain why the thought of losing TV makes me feel so sad and lonely. Of course, there's always TV on DVD. I'm going to order Ally McBeal from netflix now!
Television kind of gets a bad rap, people assume it's junk and rots your brain. But really, why is a well written, moving show less valid in terms of art than a novel? I think TV has a huge impact on the world, and there is a lot of opportunity for a show to evoke genuine emotion and make one feel connected to a certain human experience. Sure, there's a lot of junk TV, but there are lots of junk books, too. There's a Twilight for every VH1 reality show. :)

You should read Anthony Rapp's autobiography "Without You" if you haven't already. It's VERY good. I read it twice! He has such a wonderful and unique voice in his writing.
Omg I'm totally obsessed with TV. I have all my regular shows that that people like and I'm not ashamed of (Grey's Anatomy, Glee, etc.), but then I have my guilty pleasures like Gossip Girl and 90210 and basically anything on the CW. Right now I'm watching all of Kyle XY.

And it's not that i'm not social or that i think the characters are real or anything like that, but i just would rather sit watching tv shows that mean so much to me. i really love television too. i rarel y ever watch it. ive bought a few friends episodes and family guy episodes for my ipod, but i love watching whole series/seasons of things. i Love UGLTY BETTY and desperate housewives and GLEE! i cant wait for the full seaon to come out in the uk... i thinmk i like tv so much becuase whatever i watch, its easy and enjoyable and relaxing.

Thanks, Buck--watching this video was strangely kind of liberating for me. I'm an only child and my parents were gone a lot, so TV was my company, but my mom thought TV was bad so I wasn't supposed to watch more than 1/2 hr a day! (I did, though.) Now my husband wants to get rid of cable to save money, and it's hard for me to explain why the thought of losing TV makes me feel so sad and lonely. Of course, there's always TV on DVD. I'm going to order Ally McBeal from netflix now!

Television kind of gets a bad rap, people assume it's junk and rots your brain. But really, why is a well written, moving show less valid in terms of art than a novel? I think TV has a huge impact on the world, and there is a lot of opportunity for a show to evoke genuine emotion and make one feel connected to a certain human experience. Sure, there's a lot of junk TV, but there are lots of junk books, too. There's a Twilight for every VH1 reality show. :)

You should read Anthony Rapp's autobiography "Without You" if you haven't already. It's VERY good. I read it twice! He has such a wonderful and unique voice in his writing.

Omg I'm totally obsessed with TV. I have all my regular shows that that people like and I'm not ashamed of (Grey's Anatomy, Glee, etc.), but then I have my guilty pleasures like Gossip Girl and 90210 and basically anything on the CW. Right now I'm watching all of Kyle XY.
P.S. Have you read Kathy Griffin's memoir thing? It's really good and funny if you're interested.

my favorite show right now is House. The acting is awesome and the writing is sooo great and interesting. i never used to have an interest in it but nothing i liked watching was really on the other day and i decided to watch it and now i'm hooked.

I respect you for admitting you ♥ TV becuase most of my friends do not watch any, so when I bring TV up they always respond by saying that they watch very litttle becuase it's 'unhealthy' and I always think "What else could they be doin that isnt watching TV?"
