I've only just started watching you lets play videos and I don't know whether you realise this at some point but you can move all your probes inwards or outwards if you hold the alt key while moving one.
@joloco96 not really. there are factions but nothing of the good/evil sort. it's more like life where there are politics and people :) most of the universe is completely run by players even
