  • hey dude one q .. what PRS is that and do you think it sound better than the Ibanze?

  • WAHT THE FUCKK!!!!!!! THEY HAVE vyper heads! JEsus <,< im going to buy this because i have the 100 watt vyper amp buy i mean i need a loud sound that won't squeel.

  • dude slow down with the camera....lol

  • whats that song at 4:16

  • @Rico3mal Killswitch Engage - Rose of Sharyn

  • very nice thx

  • "And the Hero Will Drown..." - Story of the Year @5:14?

  • Damn i gotta get this thing. I got a vypyr 60 watt but i really want this mainly because its kinda messed up. I think i got a lemon. but i also am dying to have a half or full stack! I've even found a nice peavey cabinet i'd like with it.. this is my dream amp!

  • so would u suggest me to buy this amp?

  • what settings did u use for your embrace the gutter?

  • Avatar cabs are beast man I just ordered one today, and the service was just awesome fellers do yourself a favor and buy one forget the name brand bull

  • dude how loud did u have the amp when u filmed this

  • My fav on Vypyr 30 by the way :)

  • K-Stein model is the killer man

  • i have a question.....does anybody know whats the best cab for peavey vypr 120 head.???????

  • @Rockboyification That's not such a simple question haha. I picked the cab i did because it has really nice low end

  • @biglu30 dammit thats only bothering me....i`m thinking to buy this head but i dont know what cab to buy or use, whatever...my is just to research more...

  • @biglu30 what about the loudspeakers? what kinda cab does it require? 4/8/16 ohm?

  • @TheVibeBandTV its switchable

  • Keep up the abr

  • can you tell me what settings yours, like detail wise, and what are you using for a noise gate?

  • Does it sound better when you turn it up? Or is it like most modeling amps where is sounds worse?

  • As Blood Runs Black!

  • dude.. SICK SOUND!

  • How do you get your clean sound on that Dlux to be so clear and loud because on mine it's a lot lower sounding than my distortion by a lot, and I tried fidgeting with the levels and stuff, but no success, it'd really help a lot if you reply, thank you!

  • Hey, sorry to bug again, but I'm kinda having a crisis right now, uhm, if I were to choose a beginner cab for the Vypyr head, what would you recommend for the same stuf you do, Line 6 412(300) Marshall MG412(250) or a peavey valveking cab?

  • Hey man!!!!!!!!!!!!! So today, my Vypyr head just arrived, then I found out it doesn't come with the record in/out cable. Do you know what it's called and where I can find one?

  • @amoebaarmageddon are you talking about the usb? its just a standard usb cable with a type a to type b connection. should be able to found at any music or electronics store

  • @biglu30 Ohhhhh alright, thank you. By the way, you're videos are effin awesome, specially the August Burns Red stuff!

  • @amoebaarmageddon Also, sorry to bug again, but about the amp OHMS, I don't quite know how that stuff works, but would the head be compatible with a marshall 412 cab? Because I read the manual and it says you're supposed to adjust the switch on the back for that stuff, but like I said, I don't really know how that works, this is my first head I've ever gotten.

  • @amoebaarmageddon the amp has a 3 way ohm switch on the back so it should be compatible

  • @biglu30

How does the head sound a bedroom level with the cab. I have a road king and the sucker needs to be driven hard to get my sound and Im currently not in a band so it rarely gets used. I still want that punchyness of four speakers at a sensible level, so is this attainable with this head?

  • @WageASPSlaves Heeeeellllllllllll yes. Also one of the things with it, it doesn't lose it's tone when you turn it up loud.

  • @VypyrDevastator

Thanks for the reply man, I really needed to know. Im in Hawaii and no one has it here but gonna be shipping back to the states soon. If it weren't for you I was about to pull the trigger on the Vypyr 30 head.

If you don't mind have you played any of the solid state vypyrs? If so is the tube THAT much of a difference. Also, how is the headphone out?

  • @WageASPSlaves Yeah, like almost any other solid state amp, it gives feedback like a mo'fo when you turn it up loud, but with the tube head, just for fun at practice, I turned the sucker all the way up to 13 and didn't get any feedback at all, and that's with some stock jackson pickups. The headphone out jack is a lifesaver as well, you don't need any extensions or anything, just plug in your headphones from your ipod or whatever and you're set. Hope that helps.

  • @amoebaarmageddon dude, just take it away from your printer! its the same cable

  • @alexisd3 1) I know printers have them; I don't have a printer

    2) Already got one.

  • Modelling amp. Not modulating ;)

  • @demonj00 haha i know i was reading up on modulating amps and slipped it in instead of modeling

  • Probably the best demo for an amazing amp head. I subbed.

  • Nice zmp and playin dude, wat r u playing a 4:12

  • @FamGuitarist rose of sharyn by killswitch engage

  • ok..i only have one major question..Does this amp come with a footswitch?

  • @GuitarForLife20FF No, u have to buy the Vypyr Sanpera footswitch if I'm correct

  • ya ino my drummer has the same amp but with a cheap bugera cab and it sounds great for as cheap as it is but this guy said he was a pro musician and wanted a real amp, so if he is pro and wants an amazing amp he should go with a original amp, but ya this is a great amp for the price, way better priced than the line 6 one!

  • XD Turn on captions and laugh! It's too good!

  • Try out some Pro Steels man, they're brighter than the nickel wounds, I've found. Cool setup. I really like your guitar. Tried with a screamer or an 808 yet?

  • Hey dude. The amp has a USB output, so would you just plug it in and the DAW will pick up the signal? and can you dial in the right tones and stuff?

  • This Head Kick ass !!!!!!!!!

  • Is This better than a Valveking head? For giging and touring? Is it Reliable?

I have the Valveking head with a blackheart 4x12 and it sounds decent but i dont know if its worth getting the Vypyr Head. I play Pure Metal Like Belphegor and i need it to be loud enough for gigin.

  • Is This better than a Valveking head?

  • great vid. I'm thinking of getting the same set up now.

  • petty sure i will get this and some 4 by12 cab, just a couples of Qs

-does it have some serious gain and distortion?

-does it have a noise gate on it ?

  • I just stumbled upon this amp when I was actually looking for a Bugera 333xl. I was rather impressed with it, but store didn't have 333xl so I couldn't do a side by side comparison.

I do have a few questions: how is the sustain? I noticed myself having issues with the noise gate that is on it if I had guitar turned down to about volume 2 or lower.

How fast does it change presets? I saw someone saying it lagged too much so they returned it.

  • @ToteMcgote Go with an Avatar contemporary series cab foe metal. 2x12 does great, but its better to run the 4x12. If you can't afford the contemporary a traditional series 4x12 will do great, but you may want to use some silicone caulk in the joints (this is actually good advice for a lot of guitar cabinets)

  • this amp is perfect because its processing power is able to exactly replicate the circuitry model's of every amp and stompbox listed while powering it with the most common pre amp tubes with the most common post amp tube this makes it the absolute perfect modeling amp which makes it basically 99% accurate. so, if you have any amp worth more than $600 will make it sound 100% accurate so in the long run the versatility, incredible price and amazing accuracy makes it perfect.

  • to all of you saying the tube doesnt make a tifference, you are dead wrong. it makes a huge difference. this is probably the best amp design i have seen in 10 years and represents the future of electric guitar amplification. this amp has one 12AX7 and 4 6L6GC's, that is the same in many of the most famous amps ever made. that is why this amp sounds so exact.every amp's sound comes from its circuit board, peavey has merely replaced this circuit board with the most processing power to ever be used

  • what kind of speakers do you have in your cabinet?

  • @metalguy625 hellatone 60s (celestion 30s that are pre broke in)

  • @biglu30 So this amp is more than loud enough from stage right

  • @SR5127CL yeah 120w should usually do it

  • @biglu30 So how is this amp compared to like a Mesa or Marshall Thanks.

  • @SR5127CL in what aspects? im not sure i completely understand

  • @SR5127CL I mean does it have better features does it sound as good or better is it's tube right. I'm a pro musician and i need to stop playing around and get me a real amp. I head this amp is quite versatile. Thanks

  • @SR5127CL I mean does it have better features ,does it sound as good or better is it's ,tube right. I'm a pro musician and i need to stop playing around and get me a real amp. I heard this amp is quite versatile. Thanks

  • @SR5127CL features wise it puts them to shame. its got lots of effects and stompboxes built in. It does have real tube sound even while it's digitally modeled.

Its definitely versatile and for the price there is none better in that aspect.

However, while you do get a wide variety of amps you may not get as much variation in one particular amp model. For example you may not got all the tones you could get from a single Mesa Recti but you will get classic and modern tones due to the variety

  • @SR5127CL bottom line you should check both out to see what you want

  • @biglu30 Thanks Dude

  • @SR5127CL if u want a real amp don't go with a modeling amp... get a high end peavey, mesa, marshall or sumthing else over 1k

  • @guitarsbunch347 this is true but the key here is that you get a very versatile amp for pretty cheap

it may not do as good as a mesa for instance but it does a lot for very little

  • @guitarsbunch347 Yeah I bought a triple rectifier and it sounds awesome.

  • @SR5127CL o sweet, thats what i want, does it still sound good at low volumes, cuz ppl say to go with the dual jst cuz its easier to get tat "cranked" sound, but the dual is always backordered so i figured just pay an extra hundred bux and get it sooner, so ya what do you think of it and can it be played both at bedroom level and stadium level?

  • @guitarsbunch347 Well to start off its really loud , I have to say though at a bedroom volumes it sounds pretty good but of course if you want the most bad ass of distortion you have to crank it up. Thats were it really shines best amp ever period for all styles of music. Thanks

  • @SR5127CL sweet, ya thanks man, thats what i will be ordering, just gotta sell my old line 6 spider valve mkii head now haha!

  • @SR5127CL How 'bout go try it out?

  • wow i have the Vypyr Top 120 but i m not able to have so great sound i think the problem is my Cab ( Behringer ) can you give me some advice

    thanks

    Tommy from Switzerland

  • @manilatommy what settings?

  • Yo what songs he play

  • @Idn42

As Blood Runs Black-"In Dying Days"

August Burns Red-"Up Against the Ropes"

    Anberlin-"The Resistance"

    Killswitch Engage-"Rose of Sharyn"

Story of the Year-"And the Hero Will Drown"

  • @sebatiandeathcorpse:

I'd say you can easily tell by the insane feedback

  • Hey man, can you demo some of the Plexi and bluesy stuff with your PRS? pls pls pls thx :)

  • do you think a fender strat would sound pretty good with the different distortion effects because i know itl sound good clean, also does it have like some good crunch and overdrive effects so maybe i can play some good aerosmith and acdc? btw dude great fuckn vid

  • @Quincy623 For a bit of gain and distortion, the Fender will do just fine. For A LOT of gain and distortion, it'll hum and sound really listless.

You could play AC/DC and Aerosmith no problem, just don't expect a fat tone.

  • Finally someone with a decent freaken demo shit, not playing a bunch of gay crap.

  • hey :) this amp have noise gate like the line 6 IV ?

  • would you recommend this over the line 6 spider iv 75 head

  • hi i was thinking of getting the vypyr 120 head but dont know what cab to get what do you think would be a good match

  • where the fuck did you find that BEAUTIFUL ibanez?

  • @bobcatmonster Guitar Center....they just came out with a new version (now called s770pb) that has 24 frets instead of 22 i like the inlays better on this one though

  • My Favourite 6505 is in quick set list at place C4 :D

  • does it lock up sometimes?

  • I'm using the 60 watt tube combi and it's great. I just recommend everyone to be careful with every non-peavey model in this amp. They sound a lot like the original, especially k-stein, recti and brit, but in my opinion the peavey amp models are better. Because the price is really low I would assume that this is a marketing strategy. Maybe I'm wrong, just be careful. I was often tempted to get a 6505+ because it sounds so good on the vypyr, but I always like other amps more in the store.

  • sweet video. the 6505 model sounds GREAT!

  • Comment removed

  • beckenbauer allrounds ftw! haha

  • Is this amp equipped with the 16/8/4 Ohm Selector Switch like most of Peaveys?

I really need to know because im planning to get this amp, so i need to know what cab im gonna get with it.

  • Would you recomend this amp for gigging? I'm stuck between the Valveking head or this head.

  • @bradyhasguitarskills this. im not a fan of the valveking

  • @biglu30 Alright thanks. Does the K-stien sound good at gigging level, and does it get feedback easily, or no?

  • where do you work ...how do you get this stuff? haha

  • Dood u sold this for me im so stoked now on purchasing one this week this video helped so much bro Sounds nastyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Hey Matt can you post you K-Stein settings? That sounds awesome! I can't get my vypyr 120 to sound like this!!

  • @pinnacleent no FX or Stompboxes, pregain at 1 o'clock, Low, Mid, and High at 3 o'clock, post gain at max

  • GET SOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • kool mac

  • im thinking of getting an avatar cab

    how do you like it?

  • i like them alot. they sound great and have great low end, priced well and look great, and you can get exactly what you want

  • @biglu30 awesome. my friends showed me them but im skeptic to trust companies so im glad i got to hear one and i just wanted the opinion of someone who actually owns one

  • yeah the service was great too. you just email them exactly what you want and then when they process it they send you a invoice

  • @biglu30 sweet. thanks for the info!

  • i have the combo version of the vypyr 120 tube amp and it's amazing so i think the head is the same as equally as amazing

  • boondock saints!!!! i have that poster

  • doesnt the vypyr have like 1power tube in it, and i really dont thick the actually sound comes from it. its all digital. i mean it sounds good and all, and hell ya the avatar (i deffly want one) but still the one tube in this amp nor the line6 MKII (i think its called) doesnt do to much for the sound

  • @bobbygecko well the point of it missing preamp tubes is because its digital. you get the tone from the digital modeling but the tube does have a difference on the output (comparing the nontube version to the tube version, and the tube version to other versions. it sounds better in real life than in the video in case you haven't seen it in real life)

  • @bobbygecko and it has four actually not one

  • @bobbygecko It has 1 preamp tube, and 4 power tubes. I just got the head and a mesa boogie cab today. I also own the 30 watt solid state. The tubes make a HUGE difference. the amp screams. the gains are much more realistic, and the cleans shine like they didnt before. The models also sound exact. I wouldnt be able to tell the difference between the plxi model and a marshall

  • definitely getting that head, but you should get an isp noise decimator. :D

  • If you want raw metal tones this amp does them. I heard it myself right here!@

  • Is the Bugera 333xl better than the vypyr?

  • yes

  • im thinking about gettin this head, what would be a good inexpensive cab to go with it...i dont want to spend 400 dollars on just a cab

  • @byrdrox12 Thats about as cheap as they get man

  • Hello, how is the avatar with a modeling amp, any reason you didnt get the 2x12 vypyr tube? It comes with "voiced" speakers specific for the vypyr.

  • @symphx1 the avatar sounds great. its got a little more low end IMO than the combo. plus i just wanted a 1/2stack anyways

  • @symphx1 forgot to add. the vypyr is a modeling amp but its got tubes so its sounds really authentic. the tubes in amp has a lot more to do with the sound. general rule is that tubes make any amp sound better

  • What is a modulating amp? I think you mean modeling amp. LOL

  • @blakhaus haha ya i do. there is something called a modulating amp but its not for guitars haha...word slip

  • thank so much!!! this is what im looking for now :)

  • nice gear. nice demos too.

  • Were you playing anything in particular when you were demo-ing the 'Deluxe'? That was really nice sounding.....

  • @dahudge14 nah just something i made up

  • Towards the end, were you playing "And the Hero will drown by Story of the Year"

Its my fav song at the moment. You should cover it.

  • @Carlijawan im going to....they were one of the first bands i learned on guitar. i just recently got back into them

  • Guitar to amp, mic to amp, mic to 2nd amp, record 2nd amp to computer. Go all Amon Amarthy.

  • YOU ARE GOD! :D

  • How much did you throw down for the amp?

  • @CptBulldog they were like 550 each
