I would love to see a female samurai in this movie. Who can kick ass like Blue in your previous movie. Or maybe have Blue make a cameo appearance as a samurai chick. I can go for either of those two ideas I suggested.
i know you can make some beautifully crazy stuff but oddly i suggest,keep it simple and maybe somewhat traditional, i mean we are talking samurai here. have the characters have amazing breakthroughs in their power and technique, protecting loved ones or honor and code the hero calls upon everything and decimates his enemy. its a simple mold and been done and done but you will shine with the details. make the powers or techniques inventive and strong. make the battles brutal and honest. contrast
Probably too late, but I'd like to see a samurai octopus, with a deadly blade in each of his 8 deadly arms, ready to slay all trying to steal his eggs!
and instead of the main character killing him he actually is about to lose but the brother on the back actually kills the other brother, killing them both hows that?
What about a, saimese samurai with his conjoined twin fused into his back and covers him with his robe but when fighting he makes a surprise attack when his back is turned. Make it look real sick too with a fucked up arm and face but the brother you see looks handsome or something.
Ninjas vs. Samurai fight in a colossal battle using all of their respective weapons. Yeah, it's been done before, but you'd do it uniquely! Oh, throw in a Kung-Fu guy like Keith Carradine who uses his mind to avoid danger and outsmart enemies.

one suggestion for m dot strange, i know you are a reading freak, in the good sense of the word, so i suggest u search for a book called "el llano en llamas", made by "Juan Rulfo", the hard thing will be find it on english, but once you have it please read it, you might like it, it's full of psycho tales and stories and i think it will be a good inspiration for you
More fast paced battles with awesome 8-bit music. A resurrection of Rain would be sweet, where he is evil this time, and he has this dark mask on, but the same voice, but has no connection to the main character. Then he realizes what happened to him, and who he is, that would be fucking sweet.

A character walks into a room and sits down. His/Her/Its chair starts moving and they realize that he/she/it is in a roller coaster ride, that goes ridiculously fast and high, with hardcore chip-tune playing.
Throw in a cult of people whoare posessed by deomonic spirits, and they pretty much shoot/stab themselves to let this shadowy spirit stuff spill out of their bodies that shape into swords and whatnot. It'll make suicide fun again!

And, like, they actually can't use their hands to fight cause they've never trained like that, so it would be Hella difficult and all if they had to.
I think there needs to be some cool editing and other effect to create some awesome trippy colors and effects like someone was on some terrible acid trip or something!

If you haven't already, you should try watching and gleaning some ideas from MirrorMask. The style is like a surrealist, sepia colored, toned down version of your world and it may help you come up with a few more sweet new concepts. :)
I've seen mirrormask and they gleaned a lot of ideas from the Brothers Quay... watch "Street of Crocodiles" by the Brothers Quay and you might see some familiar things ^ ^
I want this hardcore manic dude with a creepy, perpetual smile filled with sharp teeth to jump out and start killing a whole bunch of people. He has wirey hair, a tattered top hat, and a monocle. He fights with laser vision, shoots needles from his mouth, and wields a cane sword. He jumps around and kills (either samurai or civilians or whatever) while laughing/crying... as long as he gets to bite someone's face off.
He also needs to be completely silhouetted all the time, though his teeth and eyes shine through brightly. He also cries sand and can shoot spears made of bone from his hands.
The music in the background reminded me of the film it was used in and worked somewhat inspirationally: would love to see some doubleness/doubles in teh movie. One direct samurai reference: Kagemusha. Hoping to see your take on it ofc.
I was thinking like you could have a sword fight going on and one dude could try to chop the other dude but then when his sword hits the other guy...wait there isn't another guy cause he vanishes and then pops out behind the guy who tried to chop him and well..wins..and...HE COULD BE ON FIRE and I was thinking..please dont have to much useless cussing!! maybe a massive wedding/party, sorry rememberd Zatôichi it had bits in it that workd in harmony with the soundtrack, tho it was the end it was like group tap dancing in a japanese style. and if you could get someone to say "hi mom" or someone holding up a banner with "hi mom" on it maybe while the credits are rolling. that would be kewl.
Could you kill a cameo of yourself? Maybe a magazine with your face on the cover flies by and sticks to the head of someone that's decapitated or sumpthin. FACE!
Have a guy that wears a mask becuase he is so afraid of being judged, he hides and sneaks around as much as possible and scavanges food from dead bodies. And try to add as much emotion to the characters as possible.
Since it's a samurai film, it would be cool to see your crazy interpretations of some traditional Japanese youkai among the ranks of monsters. There's definitely no shortage of cool looking creatures to choose from :)

A samurai should have very corrosive acid... like...stuff for blood and he's got scars all over from all the times he had to cut himself to squirt his blood at ze enemies! He should wear a bluish apron and he feels very self conscious because of his lisp that takes away some of the badassness of his otherwise dark and powerful voice.
Oh.. I like guinea pigs and their sounds. You should put one of those in your mooveeh.
I'd like to see a cockroach monster because its sooo DISGUSTING. When it attacks it flings them at people and the bugs destroy whoever he (or she o.o.?) flings them at. There could be like some kind of skeleton under it all but you never find out about that until later! I love the little M doll. <3

Samurai styled fighting always looks cool when they do a swift move, end up behind their opponent...
then almost as if the pause adds to the suspense,
the victim's bodies slide off spliced into halves.
Those kinds of "1 swift hit, pause, enemies all die" style is something typical yet defining in samurai related battles i think.

I was thinking like you could have a sword fight going on and one dude could try to chop the other dude but then when his sword hits the other guy...wait there isn't another guy cause he vanishes and then pops out behind the guy who tried to chop him and well..wins..and...HE COULD BE ON FIRE and I was thinking..please dont have to much useless cussing!! I hate these movies that throw it in just to look cool. Surely they can say more then just dropping the f-bomb all the time lol.

I've always wanted to see someone break a window with telekinesis, have all the sharp glass shards hover around them, and then launch them at their enemy.
I also wouldn't mind seeing a certain statue.
No matter what you do, though, it's going to re-revolutionize film as an art form.

Alternatively, I'm quite convinced that some kind of subtle cameo side-reference of We Are The Strange would work.
By subtle, I mean no "direct" or obvious mentioning of any *main* elements, but something, maybe appearing background-wise or randomly, an "inSiDeRrr" (to watS, or the M D0t Cosmos) would "get".

maybe a massive wedding/party, sorry rememberd Zatôichi it had bits in it that workd in harmony with the soundtrack, tho it was the end it was like group tap dancing in a japanese style. and if you could get someone to say "hi mom" or someone holding up a banner with "hi mom" on it maybe while the credits are rolling. that would be kewl.

Have a guy that wears a mask becuase he is so afraid of being judged, he hides and sneaks around as much as possible and scavanges food from dead bodies. And try to add as much emotion to the characters as possible.

Since it's a samurai film, it would be cool to see your crazy interpretations of some traditional Japanese youkai among the ranks of monsters. There's definitely no shortage of cool looking creatures to choose from :)

ok remember the shot from ninja gaiden when the 2 ninjas meet to fight....then they run at each other jump and meet to slash each other 1 man lands on his feet the other is dead when he reaches the ground....that old nintendo movie has been stuck in my head for years and for some reason invokes tears when i see it...no not cuz im sad but because it was such a awesome shot to see it again when be so awesome

A samurai should have very corrosive acid... like...stuff for blood and he's got scars all over from all the times he had to cut himself to squirt his blood at ze enemies! He should wear a bluish apron and he feels very self conscious because of his lisp that takes away some of the badassness of his otherwise dark and powerful voice.
Oh.. I like guinea pigs and their sounds. You should put one of those in your mooveeh.

I'd like to see a cockroach monster because its sooo DISGUSTING. When it attacks it flings them at people and the bugs destroy whoever he (or she o.o.?) flings them at. There could be like some kind of skeleton under it all but you never find out about that until later! I love the little M doll. <3

Make a random insane dude,an insane rabbit,that would seem akward,but at the same time play a huge role in making the main character go out of his mind and dismember the rabbit in the end! And the rabbit should know how to do camoflauge,like the cat in Alice in WOnderland!
Or since this is a samurai movie,a dude with a cybernetic arm to swing his huge sword and that he would always have a bowl of ramen or a bottle of sake of Jack Daniels on his head standing! A balance freak with a robotic arm!

Villain or hero to perform some epic final attack or summon thats like 5-7 mins long and destroys all the planets and even the sun. Of course teh attack leaves them both alive so they must duke it out with fists in the end....
