As a matter of fact, it is not just the reading and writing that Persians have taught Turkics, Persians also taught them kareez that provided the irrigation and food, taught them blast furnaces and forges that give them the iron tools for farming and hunting, taught them loom-weaving that gives them the cloths and carpets, taught them to sing and dance to entertain themselves, taught them science and medicine so they know how to count and cure their illness.

Timur, Fatih, Bumin khan, Babur, Atilla, all of them are true Turks, uzbek , ottomans, azeri, turkmen, all of those names have no value. Uzbek ,turkmen, azeri , turks from turkey, are Turkish... The problem is that Atatürk anticipated and retablished the name of "Turk" ,and now our turkish brothers thinks we, turks from turkey want to assimilate them. A turk can't assimilate another turk.

That is only PARTIALLY true. The only thing we have in common is that your (TURKISH) ancestors came from central Asia many centuries ago. And the difference between us is HUGE. We were part of Russian Empire and then Part of Soviet Union, we are way closer to Slavs, particularly Russians, that is, we speak Russian language, we watch Russian movies, and we have singers, who sing in Russian. We can be good partners with Turkish, but nothing more. We are way different people.

YES, we kicked the turks out of our land. And the reason was because the turks were not only illiterate and nasty, but they also were criminals, rapers and all that ugly things. The future of Uzbekistan will never be pro-turk. Only illiterate part of Uzb are muslimic pro-turks, but all the intelligentsia are pro-Russian.

I doubt you read books! In 19th century there were NO turkish republics. There was a Ottoman Empire, which was different from central asia. Not mostly, all last names of uzbeks end with -ov,-ev,and with -vich,-vna. Guess what, it's so much better than Abu Alla ibn Aba Ini Ibi... and all that crap!

I also want to take into your consideration, that before the arabs came, the ancestors of uzbeks had different religion, different culture, different everything. So just like the arabs, the Russians came, and Uzbekistan turned into civilized state with its own sovereignty. So we ARE partially russians, culturally, ethnically and by soul. THere is a lot of good things that Russia brought to us, something that other muslim states still lack! It's also because of them we have almost 100% literacy.

The "local culture" is that of the so-called "minority". Modern Uzbek music, culture, cuisine, clothing, etc is derived from Tajik culture. The Uzbek language, which is based on Chughatai, has been greatly influenced by Persian (Tajik). 500 years, Uzbeks were still nomads, while Tajiks had been sedentary and cultured city dwellers for millennia.
