wow your cat looks exactly like both of mine. they aren't related and one has the normal hydrophobic tendencies but Meow Zedong is like that. Never seen him drink from a faucet but when i was trying to train him not to eat out of the other one's bowl i tried squirting him with a steady stream of water from a water gun and he just sat there. i could literally just spray him for like 20 seconds and he would just keep eating with water pooling under him off of his head like he didn't even notice.

We have 3 cats and two of them hates water so we use a water spray to diciplin them when they get too rough with each other (they're all males) but the 3rd one loves water, especially running water. everytime you turn on the water he comes running even if he's asleep and he will drink for ages if you let him. he also sticks his head in the watering can outside and we're always scared his big head will get stuck, lol

My last cat (rest in piece) used to get use to put the plug in and fill the tub up with just a bit of water. He'd jump in drink it.

Although, sometimes he'd stand on his hind legs, wrap his arms around the toilet seat, and just drink from the toilet. He was a big cat. :)
