BSOD all users? No. Brainless users like me when I badly overclocked my PC. That was the only problem I had with custom made PC.
Should I get Mac, because I get BSOD when I overclock CPU badly? Sure. What else I'll gain? I'll buy computer which is much more expensive and can do less. Seriously... In any point you don't need to have it and it even shouldn't be considered as something you need/want to get, or else you want to look dumb for overpaying for less, duh.
Mac is the better choice if you are in an academic setting where you need access to a lot of freely accessible programs. They are mostly tested only under linux and Mac, and not guaranteed to work in Windows.
I never got blue screen on my win 7 which ive been using for 2 years. And BTW u can fix the blue screen by reinstalling windows :D my mom bought a mac and all what i have to say overpriced pieceofshit
It should also be noted that bluescreens are vital for figuring out what's wrong with your system, which can be hardware-based at times. Dying RAM for instance will trigger a bluescreen. They're not about bad programming these days. By contrast, OSX makes it very difficult to pinpoint the reason for a crash or hardware failure because their diagnostic info is practically nonexistent.
I was a loyal Mac user & owner of G3/4/5's until their arrogance & phasing out still very valid products just because of marketing got to the point I realized they do not give a rip about keeping their user base anymore. The many ridiculously insufficient OS iterations has created nothing but confusion for both customers & software companies. I do AV work, my new i7 machine (& new ASUS P8Z68-V Pro MB) completely blows away my G5 - at half the cost.
BSOD is occurring due to 1) hardware incompatibility 2)broken hardware or 3) Malicious hardware drivers. 1st is the idiots fault because he doesn't understand anything about PC machines. 2) Is the manufacturers fault (there are plenty malfunctions on the apple side as well) and 3) is an out of date hardware that lost it's support, JUST LIKE anything made by mac that is 4 or more years old.
PC-Opportunity to do whatever you want, build, customize-anything. Mac-Standardized, with limited choices
In mac is the rainbow of death, which has occurred to me once. My PC had only one Blue screen of death but got better an hour later. I had my PC for 4 years, I then bought a MAC. I only had it for like a year, and it has give me complete problems. It's weak, it had the rainbow of death, and now I have pimping light on my screen. Fuck mac, I will return to PC.
Ummm, that makes no sense. I'm writing this on a PC. Seeing as how iPod sales are floundering, and Blackberries continue to outsell iPhones by 1.5 million units PER MONTH, I'd say the odds of someone writing from either device is pretty slim.
Mac sucks, totally overpriced and highly incompatible with everything! At least everything will run on a pc, but nothing will run on a mac lol. *.EXE rules the world.
@bluecookiez11223 were da fuck have u ben shoping for pc main u can get a full pc with 500GB An 2/2GB ram chips already built in and get an extra harddrive with 500gb for 50 bucks O_O for 350 with windows 7
@bluecookiez11223 2000 900 for a pc that wont ever suit your needs cause when it comes right down to the grindstone it has everything to do with pentium your memory dnt mean shit i could have unlimited amount of memory and still the onlything that will change is the amount of download space i have its only used for the OPT system so it really dnt matter blow ur money on useless unused space that wont change dam thing pally :P an if u aint down with that i got 2 words for you suck it!
@bluecookiez11223 wow no answer wat a total fuck tard wats the matter retard cant respond cause u no im right quit with your lil kids games if you cant make a good reply that actualy doesent come from asscheeks then get the fuck off u tube ediot isent just a word you no :)
Let me correct you. Windows is the most versatile OS in the world, therefore the best.
Mac is the LEAST versatile OS in the world, and the least secure, therefore the shittiest.
Linux is the most unnecessarily complicated and poorly implemented OS in the world, which is why it's only popular as a background mainframe infrastructure....the foundation laid solely by basement-dwelling, BattleStar Galactica virgins.
i must say tho..ive used both since i was about 5 and i wouldnt say macs suck, its all about user preference, if u wanna play the best games, open exe files, compatibility for some software/program u wont find on a mac...get a windows..........if u wanna be a graphic designer..anything to do with videos pics..and specially research because ther are alot of sites out there with viruses etc...get a mac...its all about what the individual likes..cant decide??...want everything...jus buy both
...I don't know what's his problem. i've INTENSELY used my PC for 4 years, i've gamed continously, overclocked a lot, and a blue screen? Never. I never had that. My pc has never crashed.
Just bought a imac and it kind of blows... First of all I payd A LOT for a computer whit a black dot on the screen made of 3 dead pixels. Not much but something that def shouldn't go with the price tag!!! Then you have to start with installing a right click and then port forward. Doesn't make things easyer that everything is up side down on a mac!!!! Mac is only easy if it's your first computer or if you've been using it for a long time hard core!!! The graphics is btw good. Not great.
@TheUberDeity Jepp... Gonna give it a try thou and mabe sell it after 6-10 months. The main reason I bought it is cuz I needed a stationary computer and I got my iMac for 910e instead of 1098e or 1010e with my gf's student card. Just because of a tiny scratch on the package.. Pc pro->mac noob sucks!
@kylezehmahn Obama and Mccain were the two dumbest candidates the US had to offer. Society could of elected some crazy christian with balls whom would have been killed for his policies but would have created a massive revolution for doing so, instead society votes for a smooth talking jive master because of his skin color. Mccain was no different.
Fuck windows with its broken search feature. With mac os 's spotlight, you can find anything in seconds. WINDOWS IS A FAT COW LIKE YOUR MOTHER YOU SO-CALLED HARDCORE PIECE OF SHIT FUCKING BITCH SUCK FUCK
Actually, Windows 7's search feature is 100% perfect. Within any Windows folder or third party program, I can find exactly what I want by narrowing my search parameters on the fly. The results arrive in less than 3 seconds. Perhaps you shouldn't turn your Indexing Service off. Then your Windows search would actually work. That's a common newbie mistake, so I don't hold it against you.
Next time do your homework before making a stupid, ridiculous comment.
@TheUberDeity The spotlight feature also works in seconds: automatically searching file names, within text documents, calendar entries, recent webpages. I'm not familiar with indexing, but why should I be? Most people, like myself, just want their computer to work the way they expect it to work. Is indexing a feature that the user can manipulate in windows vista as well....because then you are suggesting I could improve the search functionality?
You do realize that upon a fresh install of Windows, you can set up the OS to run with absolutely zero maintenance on your part, aside from a once-a-week Malwarebytes scan (100% free by the way, best on the market) that takes about 5-10 minutes to scan, right?
You didn't know that? Oh, I see. Well, again....that's why you're using Mac. You're incapable of performing the simplest and most basic of tasks.
@TheUberDeity No, when you work a demanding 9 hours a day, make time for exercise and socializing, and try to eat right, it leaves little time to fiddle with computers as I have already stated.
It's not irrelevant. Are you telling me that you don't have the time to turn on your computer and run a 15 minute weekly scan while you're sitting and watching your favorite TV show? Everything else can be fully automated to run in the background.
Sorry, it doesn't fly. That's a sad, pathetic copout.
And everyone thinks Macs are hard to use because all they know is PC. But in reality when you take someone that has never been on both, they learn the Mac much easier bc t it user friendly.. My sister will go threw 3 or 4 PC while I still have my awesome 15 inch Aluminum UniBody MacBook Pro.. Well worth the 1700.00 if I might say.
My sister bought a PC with the exact same specs as my 15 inch Macbook Pro and my mac out performs it by far. She had 2 Anti-Virus programs and had a virus within a MONTH. I have had mine for almost a year and it has never acted up in any way. We can be on the same connection, go to the same website and hers take 5-10 seconds longer to load. When mine takes 1.. I can have safari open and looking at websites before my sister can even type her password in to get in the DAMN computer.. Really?????
Anyone who buys a Macbook Pro is born brain-dead anyways. If you want a real computer with true power, you don't look to Mac. The most powerful Macbook in the lineup costs $2499 and has abysmally shitty hardware on board. Any ASUS G71-series laptop will smoke it 50 times over for $700 bucks less.
PC's > Mac. All mac users will disagree... well it's all relevant, they just compare a shitty PC compared to a Mac. Now if you take a $1,500 dollar PC and a $1,500 dollar Mac and compare them... PC rapes it's ass!
I have had Windows for years. Xp, Vista and 7 all and NEVER had a blue screen of death, never crashed. I think it is just because people don't ever update their stuff and don't know how to use a computer...
well. i love PCs way more then a mac. they are just so much better. i know PCs crash more then MACs. but thats only because MACs are not constently attacked by viruses. you know why? because NO ONE WILL SPEND A SHIT LOAD OF TIME ON ATTACKING A PC NO ONE IMPORTANT WILL USE! PC pwns MACs are pwned. peace
I've never had a blue-screen in 10 years! Haha! I believe the last blue-screen instance I ever had was Windows 98, and that's self-explanatory.
Actually, I only had ONE blue-screen after that. One of my RAM modules was acting up, and Windows blue-screened. Difference is, it gave me full diagnostic information about what was wrong, so I could diagnose the issue and resolve it in 5 minutes.
Mac users don't understand that blue screens are there for a reason. That's why IT pros HATE Macs.
Ohhhhh, I lose my temper more than Macboys deserve, my friend :) But there's nothing I love better than beating an asshole into the ground when the only weapon he's using is pure, unadulterated bullshit.
Some will listen (and a lot have) to what I have to say. However, most will see absolutely no problem forking out $2499 for a 17" Macbook, instead of buying an MSI GT720 with precisely the same specs for $999.99.
*Sigh* It's amazing how easily people are fooled in this day and age.
Exactly, the reason they pay that munch for a macbook is so they can brag about "how cool they look" It's sad, for $2499 I can build three machines that will blow a a mac away.
yeah the GT270 is nice, I bought a Sony VAIO VGN-FW520 (Nice specs ) for 799 and it shits on my friends MacBook Pro, and he spend 1200 on it. It came with a shitty geforce 9400m (256MB) 2GB ram and a 13" screen, 160 GB HD I was like wow....epic fail. LOL
Just compare the 17" macbook for $2499 against my ASUS G71GX-A2. It annihilates it in every department, yet it only cost me $1800 bucks. We're talking a Quad-core 9000, 6GB of RAM, a GTX260M with 1GB of onboard RAM, a Blu-Ray drive, 1920x1200 resolution, HDMI, 8-in-1 card reader, E-SATA, and a 2.0 Megapixel cam.
The Mac would get baked. And that's what I hate about Apple. They convince clueless people to shell out bucketloads of cash for absolute shit systems. It's disgusting.
@MaximusCerberus blue screens shouldnt be there AT ALL. I'm having frequent blue screens because of VARIOUS hardware failures (pc is just 4 years old, changed alot in it to be up to date). and ur wrong about macs they can do about anything (except gaming, which they arent made for) and are NOT prone to the same amout of virusses that pc's are. flash is the #1 reason macs crash, not hardware or OS functionallity.
WRRRRRRRRONG. Blue-screens contain vital diagnostic information to help diagnose and repair a computer problem. What do you think all of that technical jargon on a bluescreen is?
If I'm to follow your logic.....then you should be critically baking Apple for designing Snow Leopard that is subject to kernel panics and ambiguous error messages that force an entire restart. EXACT SAME THING.
You REALLY need to stop posting. Apple didn't invent the Mouse.
@TheUberDeity you just didnt understand what i was saying. i know what the technical jargon on a bsod is (so in most cases you can solve the problem, something which macs unfortunately lack), but by "blue screens shouldnt be there AT ALL" I mean that they shouldnt appear in the first place.
(btw i've worked for a couple of months in an apple store and I havent seen a single mac to show up an error (all snow leopard of course))
So you've been working in the Apple store for a while now (God help us) and you haven't seen a crash or kernel panic, so you think they don't exist? Funny, considering that the models on display are demos that haven't been tried and tested in a real work environment.
When Macs crash, there's no blue screen, you're right. In fact, there's not much of ANYTHING. That's why Mac problems are nigh-impossible to nail down, prompting an entire re-install of the OS thanks to lack of info.
@TheUberDeity i hope you arent serious, and i hope you can imagine we allowed people to download/install apps on the show models and test them in whatever way they desire, isnt that a good test for the macs to see if problems occur?
this is how problems are solved: far lower crash rate in the first place, and IF something happens, there's unbeatable support from professionals, ESPECIALLY with AppleCare.
I can do the same thing with a Windows 7 PC in a store environment, and I can guarantee ZERO crashes or problems. I don't need help from anyone. I certainly wouldn't go to someplace like AppleCare to walk me through a problem. I'd figure it out myself, and it would take me about 2 minutes. That's the beauty of an open-ended versatile OS like Windows. You're not forced to rely on someone else for all of your technical issues.
@TheUberDeity again we agree at the same thing windows problems can easily be fixed with bsod info and if anything happens to ur mac you're just screwed. but my statement is that problems like a bsod shouldnt appear in the first place. Some people say that "Macs crash too", something which i cannot deny, but its about statistics that macs have a significantly lower crash rate than windows computers. btw apple just made their new arrogant vid about the ipad, you'll like it:P watch?v=fihOmQY-JxY
First of all, statistics are based on volume of pre-established percentages. For every Macintosh computer sold, about 1000 PCs are sold. That's no joke or embellishment.
if the situation was reversed, and PC sales only accounted for 3.4% of the world's computers, then Macintosh computers would be world-reknowned for crashing and kernel panicking.
Bottom line: no OS is bulletproof.I watched Linux crash immediately on restart after a fresh install with absolutely nothing done to it.
@TheUberDeity sure no OS is bulletproof, but get your facts straight about the numbers and percentages. theres about 2x 3.4% mac OSX users, and the percentage is increasing every month. just have a look on this wikipedia article:
"Comparison of operating systems" - and check the diagram to the right.
scary statistics btw, 52.94% XP users... but as you can see apple is growing, not only with iPhone OS but also with OSX (6.15% at the moment).
@TheUberDeity Well lets see, this laptop I keep running for months, took over a year to kernel panic, given that it was my doing for causing the kernel panic.
Yet Microsoft's NTFS was responsible for a windows 7 crash in less than 24 hrs after a clean install. Yet the user didn't even know what " a check disk" was, and is still getting the same BSOD error.
No, the Console, Crash logs, and error reporter display all your diagnostic information.
Well let's see, I've had my ASUS G71GX-A2 for almost a year, and it hasn't crashed, locked up, or so much as farted yet.
To top it off, I've never had a hard drive crash, and only one single blue screen thanks to a faulty RAM module that happened way back in 2001.
Sorry, but Mac errors are ambiguous. That's why IT technicians scoff at Macintosh servers. When the shit goes down, 9 times out of 10 it prompts an entire re-install of the OS. That's fact talking.
@TheUberDeity Yes I have had this laptop for over a year, and thats all you, most people I deal with dont even know what the hell disk fragmentation is. Go look at the experiences of average Joe computer users.
Got a source to prove this? Obviously these "IT technicians" dont know OS X.
Error codes are located either within the message, and other diagnostic info is located using the console, crash logs, and/or error reporter.
Disk fragmentation? You mean that thing that affects Windows and Mac users? Macworld has an entire section devoted to Mac anti-virus software and defrag programs. Only difference is, Windows 7 silently, and automatically defrags the system in the background, requiring ZERO maintenance on the part of the user.
Guess you forgot that part. Or....you didn't know about it. Take your pick.
I am very much correct, and have the sources to back it up, unlike you.
Not only is your analogy completely assbackwards, its incorrect too, Ford did not invent the automobile first, it was the first automobile to be bought by average joes.
Its nothing more than an excuse to dodge the fact that you were wrong about how badly Windows 7 mochs the Mac OS, and how out of date the NTFS file system is.
You don't have ANY evidence. You never have! For months I've been consistently beating your face into the ground and turning it into a mass of mangled hamburger, and you haven't said one thing to change that. Now you're going to reference some obscure program from 1989 and the disadvantages of NTFS?
Out of date? You mean compared to OSX's complete lack of security layers that make it the world's most easily-hackable OS?
Now you're just wasting my time, so let's simply agree that I've won the argument YET AGAIN. See you in another week when you have something equally silly and ridiculous to say. I'll make sure to do a quick drive-by and smack you to the pavement again before I ride off, successful in every way.
@MaximusCerberus Yeah, had something wrong on my work computer once and got blue screen all the time, then my IT inspected and told me my gfx card was fried.
If you kept getting bluescreens all the time, then why didn't you bother getting it inspected? You never get a bluescreen unless there's some sort of tech error.....most of which can be fixed easily.
@MaximusCerberus So basically, you tell us that you need to be a total nerd to keep your pc running. Hmm ok. Thanks. ;) Thats probably why i bought a mac after several windows years..
@Maximiliano670 I don't know shit about computers and I'd never be able to assemble one myself but last time I got a BSoD was when I switched from 98 to Me. I forgot how BSoD looks like ever since I switched to XP, and this was like 6 years ago. All you need is common sense and the ability to read what pops up.
I assume you're only trying to justify your purchase of an overpriced PC with Apple logo slapped on it. You could buy an exact same class PC for 2/3 (or less) of the price.
Well I know shit about computers, I put my 2 gaming machines together myself which run on win7. I also know that my macbook was worth the 1000 bucks all the fucking way. Don't open your mouth about things when you've never owned them personally and haven't used them for at least half a year.
I use both, i like both, and I know what both are best for. Windows is not the best 'work' solution in my opinion. Macs are. Gaming isn't for a mac, thats for windows.
Here's the deal. PCs rule everything, and Macs always tag along on the PC's coat-tails. That's why Macs are only now JUST adopting 1333Mhz DDR3 while PC users are running 2400MHz, with DDR4 on the way. Not to mention the generic, mid-range quad-cores, the shitty-ass graphics cards, the dead-endedness of the Mac platform that allows for ZERO expandability, and of course, the price-gouging.
Apple charges an extra $3799 to max out the RAM on the $3799 Mac Pro. WAKE UP.
@Maximiliano670 I only talked about BSoDs and mentioned Mac/PC price difference. I didn't know you have to BUY something to know how expensive it is and if there are cheaper, but equally good (if not better), alternatives.
One more thing, last time you said "(...)you need to be a total nerd to keep your pc running. (...) Thats probably why i bought a mac after several windows years.."
With this in mind, I assume your story about assembling two PCs is a lie. I'll leave it at that.
You bought a Mac out of pure, unadulterated NECESSITY. God forbid you should actually take 5 minutes out of your busy schedule to LEARN something. No, you'd prefer to live in ignorance and overpay Apple for a big ol' shiny box of shit.
Some of us here actually like to learn things. It broadens our minds, increases our intelligence, and provides new challenges.
Then there's you and the rest of the pathetic lower caste that want their hands held 24/7. Pathetic.
@TheUberDeity 31 years old? I expected a kid or something, but this just makes me LMAO really fucking hard... Especially me talking about my 'opinion' earlier, but you attacking and fighting it out as if some one stole your damn toy. :P This is hilarious, write me some more, I'll make a nice thread on my site about this. Give me all you got man, come on, hit it hard. ;)
Keep deflecting. It's what losers do, didn't you know? Yours is a classic case. Let's deflect attention away from yourself so you have time to scrape some dignity off the pavement.
I've got news for you: it doesn't work. Stop being as predictable as a sunrise, and maybe that'll change.
Blue screens still exist in the Vista / Win7 OS's.
The problem is, people don't stop to realize that the blue screen contains vital information that can be used to easily diagnose and repair the most common crash issues......all of which are the fault of the user doing something they weren't supposed to.
Macs, on the other hand, offer ambiguous, useless error messages that frustrate the fuck out of IT professionals because they can't pinpoint the source of the problem.
I use my computer mostly with autocad, so If I start opening too much drawings and work at the same time with all of them, all I get its a frozen screen, or maybe a "not responding" message on the top of the window, besides that I haven't seen a blue screen in a long while
when igot the blue screen of death i fixed the computer and it was fine. Then I got an anti virus softwhere and I dont have any more worries. GET A DAMNED PC.
It all comes down to the fact that Microsoft are IDIOTS when it comes to making Windows user-friendly and accessible to the technophobe / computer illiterate soccer mom.
Apple takes advantage of that by tricking naive people into buying a Mac, a machine that does NOTHING substantial and is prone to the same viruses, hack attacks, disk fragmentation issues and crashing issues as Windows.
Windows needs to make their superior OS easier to swallow.
You're right there (about Windows ease of usability).
When I got this new computer, I had to work out myself where everything was. My Documents, Control Panel, the Run dialog, etc. The Start Menu was completely different. For the next week I had to use the Help and Support feature for almost every thing I did.
Still, if I had a choice between Mac/Windows/Linux, I'd go with Windows because of the compatibility.
What's so different......honestly? I found everything within seconds. It's the same basic premise as previous Windows operating systems.
The advantage with Windows is that you can tweak and hack it to your heart's content with minimal effort. My Windows installations are optimized and streamlined for maximum speed and efficiency.
have them try windows 7, or honestly fuck the dumb asses who cant use PCs. If you fail so much that you are under the age of 50 and cannot operate a computer proficiently, get in on the first time machine that humans ever create and go live in the stone age since that is probably the best place for people with feeble minds. Oh yeah and the blue screen of death is actually the blue screen of "Hey heres your problem and if you have a brain you know how to fix it!"
people who are with mac, most of them bandwagon and think its really better...its not, windows can do the same and better in many cases too. I looked at the macbook proc specs and im like...wtf is this a joke?
i dont see the point of mac, okay, so it's a computer that has a milky smooth surface unlike my dell laptop that's black and rough. but besides the aesthetic view of it, what does mac have that PC doesn't?
Most mac users i see these days are mostly preppy teenagers, hippies and yuppies.
Macs are for people who don't want computers, and just want fashion statements. $2000 fashion statements that don't really do much, except edit videos. Oh wait, a $200 PC can do that, too with Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas. :/
mac is for people that don't want total control over everyy aspect of the hardware. they just want to have a working Computer. like consoles. but the fact is:
if you can't even tell a mac that it should split 1/4 of the cpu-working to one certain program it just crashes. with pc i never had those problems. though windows sucked back then. windows 7 seems allright. and for all the people: "but macs are for creative people".
that is not true. all ppl who own a mac just fuck around like idiots.
Mac mini sucks! Always crash on oom :) useless piece of junk

Ummm, that makes no sense. I'm writing this on a PC. Seeing as how iPod sales are floundering, and Blackberries continue to outsell iPhones by 1.5 million units PER MONTH, I'd say the odds of someone writing from either device is pretty slim.

Doesn't make things easyer that everything is up side down on a mac!!!! Mac is only easy if it's your first computer or if you've been using it for a long time hard core!!! The graphics is btw good. Fuck windows with its broken search feature. With mac os 's spotlight, you can find anything in seconds. WINDOWS IS A FAT COW LIKE YOUR MOTHER YOU SO-CALLED HARDCORE PIECE OF SHIT FUCKING BITCH SUCK FUCK
quidproquo2004 1 year ago
@quidproquo2004
TheUberDeity 1 year ago

Sonic6293 2 years ago 4
I've never had a blue-screen in 10 years! Haha! I believe the last blue-screen instance I ever had was Windows 98, and that's self-explanatory.
Actually, I only had ONE blue-screen after that. One of my RAM modules was acting up, and Windows blue-screened. Difference is, it gave me full diagnostic information about what was wrong, so I could diagnose the issue and resolve it in 5 minutes.
Mac users don't understand that blue screens are there for a reason. That's why IT pros HATE Macs.

MaximusCerberus 2 years ago 3
Exactly, the reason they pay that munch for a macbook is so they can brag about "how cool they look" It's sad, for $2499 I can build three machines that will blow a a mac away.
yeah the GT270 is nice, I bought a Sony VAIO VGN-FW520 (Nice specs ) for 799 and it shits on my friends MacBook Pro, and he spend 1200 on it. It came with a shitty geforce 9400m (256MB) 2GB ram and a 13" screen, 160 GB HD I was like wow....epic fail. LOL
Vargas1349 2 years ago
MaximusCerberus 2 years ago
@MaximusCerberus blue screens shouldnt be there AT ALL. I'm having frequent blue screens because of VARIOUS hardware failures (pc is just 4 years old, changed alot in it to be up to date). and ur wrong about macs they can do about anything (except gaming, which they arent made for) and are NOT prone to the same amout of virusses that pc's are. flash is the #1 reason macs crash, not hardware or OS functionallity.
h4x0y 1 year ago
@h4x0y
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity you just didnt understand what i was saying. i know what the technical jargon on a bsod is (so in most cases you can solve the problem, something which macs unfortunately lack), but by "blue screens shouldnt be there AT ALL" I mean that they shouldnt appear in the first place.
(btw i've worked for a couple of months in an apple store and I havent seen a single mac to show up an error (all snow leopard of course))
h4x0y 1 year ago
@h4x0y
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity i hope you arent serious, and i hope you can imagine we allowed people to download/install apps on the show models and test them in whatever way they desire, isnt that a good test for the macs to see if problems occur?
this is how problems are solved: far lower crash rate in the first place, and IF something happens, there's unbeatable support from professionals, ESPECIALLY with AppleCare.
h4x0y 1 year ago
@h4x0y
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity again we agree at the same thing windows problems can easily be fixed with bsod info and if anything happens to ur mac you're just screwed. but my statement is that problems like a bsod shouldnt appear in the first place. Some people say that "Macs crash too", something which i cannot deny, but its about statistics that macs have a significantly lower crash rate than windows computers. btw apple just made their new arrogant vid about the ipad, you'll like it:P watch?v=fihOmQY-JxY
h4x0y 1 year ago
@h4x0y
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity sure no OS is bulletproof, but get your facts straight about the numbers and percentages. theres about 2x 3.4% mac OSX users, and the percentage is increasing every month. just have a look on this wikipedia article:
"Comparison of operating systems" - and check the diagram to the right.
scary statistics btw, 52.94% XP users... but as you can see apple is growing, not only with iPhone OS but also with OSX (6.15% at the moment).
h4x0y 1 year ago
@h4x0y
Actually, sonny boy, as of April 2010, WinXP, Vista, and 7 controlled a total of 89% of the Operating System Market.
Guess how much Apple has. 4%. FOUR.........LOUSY..........PERCENT.
You want a link to the page? Go ahead and call my bluff and see what you get.
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity Well lets see, this laptop I keep running for months, took over a year to kernel panic, given that it was my doing for causing the kernel panic.
Yet Microsoft's NTFS was responsible for a windows 7 crash in less than 24 hrs after a clean install. Yet the user didn't even know what " a check disk" was, and is still getting the same BSOD error.
No, the Console, Crash logs, and error reporter display all your diagnostic information.
Compwhiz128 1 year ago
@Compwhiz128
TheUberDeity 1 year ago
@TheUberDeity Yes I have had this laptop for over a year, and thats all you, most people I deal with dont even know what the hell disk fragmentation is. Go look at the experiences of average Joe computer users.
Got a source to prove this? Obviously these "IT technicians" dont know OS X.
Error codes are located either within the message, and other diagnostic info is located using the console, crash logs, and/or error reporter.
Compwhiz128 1 year ago
@Compwhiz128

You could buy an exact same class PC for 2/3 (or less) of the price.
notyerbusiness 1 year ago
Well I know shit about computers, I put my 2 gaming machines together myself which run on win7. I also know that my macbook was worth the 1000 bucks all the fucking way. Don't open your mouth about things when you've never owned them personally and haven't used them for at least half a year.
I use both, i like both, and I know what both are best for. Windows is not the best 'work' solution in my opinion. Macs are. Gaming isn't for a mac, thats for windows.
Maximiliano670 1 year ago
@Maximiliano670

Some of us here actually like to learn things. It broadens our minds, increases our intelligence, and provides new challenges.
Then there's you and the rest of the pathetic lower caste that want their hands held 24/7. Pathetic.

@TheUberDeity Seriously, how old are you? I hope not older than i am.

@Maximiliano670
Exactly the sort of response I'd expect from a guy who just said "Oops. Boy, I didn't know all that! Man, did I fuck up badly!"
It's as obvious and plain as the nose on your face. Glad we had this talk.

Give me all you got man, come on, hit it hard. ;)

@Maximiliano670
For now, everything I've said stands.

When was this comercial aired? because blue screens were on windows 98 or something....is like complaining about floppy disks...thats was in the 90's
IDareToSpeak 2 years ago 2

Apple needs to wake the fuck up.

CaptainEagle09 1 year ago
Also, I had been using XP for 3+ years before I got my new laptop.
CaptainEagle09 1 year ago

@MaximusCerberus IF your worried about that then switch to ubuntu linux.

people who are with mac, most of them bandwagon and think its really better...its not, windows can do the same and better in many cases too. I looked at the macbook proc specs and im like...wtf is this a joke?
subtenko 2 years ago
i dont see the point of mac, okay, so it's a computer that has a milky smooth surface unlike my dell laptop that's black and rough. but besides the aesthetic view of it, what does mac have that PC doesn't?
Most mac users i see these days are mostly preppy teenagers, hippies and yuppies.

Macs are for people who don't want computers, and just want fashion statements. $2000 fashion statements that don't really do much, except edit videos. Oh wait, a $200 PC can do that, too with Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas. :/
Thrashler 2 years ago
mac is for people that don't want total control over everyy aspect of the hardware. they just want to have a working Computer. like consoles. but the fact is:
if you can't even tell a mac that it should split 1/4 of the cpu-working to one certain program it just crashes. with pc i never had those problems. though windows sucked back then. windows 7 seems allright. and for all the people: "but macs are for creative people".
that is not true. all ppl who own a mac just fuck around like idiots.
moeloehoe 2 years ago
When your computer dies, it dies, that simple. It's all about how you take responsibility of your computer.
Therefore, mac is a total failure
