@port753 Yeah, I noticed a couple episodes taken from Phillip K dick's stories, there was even an homage to "Do androids dream of electric sheep" (the episode with the shapeshifter). Phillip wrote a story called "The adjustment Bureau" and i am pretty sure the makers of Fringe modeled the Observers after those men.

new theory about what Walter did to Peter when I saw this ep. first I thought Walter used his son as a test subject for one of his many bizarre experiments giving him some special ability. Then, that the Observer can read Peter's mind cos he was Peter's ageless clone. Then, that Peter had really died of sickness and Walter had either brought him back to life or cloned him. Finally, season finale told me that Walter had kidnapped Peter from an alternate dimension after his Peter died of sickness.

@butternutsquashpie Yes. I don't know the name of the episode but it was when someone was with the bankrobbers walking through walls to steal what Walter had in his safes. They then pieced together Walter's space-time machine. Walter explained to Peter that when he was a young boy he became very ill so Walter built the machine to reach into the past to pull forward a man who had a cure for a similar illness but was dead in their time. He lied to Peter saying that he recovered before he used it.

He must've gone back on his promise then. In Season 2 Episode 6 of Fringe, "Earthling" the antagonist is a symbiotic alien shadow creature that turns people to dust by stealing their bodies radioactive energies holding their molecules together.

Yes, with no new episodes for weeks it is. I'd only been able to watch Glee. My other stuff had gone on hiatus/rerun mode. I'm sure that the secret is going to be revealed in Season 2 and that's what I've been waiting for (since episode 1 before I even knew what the secret was)
