I was a Cougarette at Kennedy and I was there performing.. We all got cheated during this BOTB. I think Brother Martin won first place and the Aug won 2nd.
Thank You Mr. Hamp for saving thousand of African-American men from the streets, (me in particular). I will truly miss you, when I get to heaven save a spot on bass drum for me. A TRUE LEGEND & MUSICAL GIANT EDWIN HARRELL HAMPTON R.I.P. Sincerlry forever your pupil, Adrian W. Joseph Sr.
This has to be one of the greatest progressions down the field! I think In the Stone is the only other song that we had this long a drive! This is real Big Purple. As Drum Major for the class of 200, I appreciate and respect the knee bends, the 8 to 5, the horn swings, and the continued drive down the field! The Glory Days of Hamp and his Boys!!
st aug should have won...hands down

This was my Freshman year. I still remember every formation, and get chills every time I see it.

This is a marching band masterclass! Most of the high school bands in the city sat and witnessed
87' showing N.O. what being the best was all about.
