@Psykogundam In Superman the Movie on the trip to earth Jor-El tells Kal-El "Each of the six galaxies you will pass through." In Smallville it's 23 galaxies away. All are ridiculous estimates if you're saying meteor rocks travelled thousands of times faster than the speed of light.

Krypton looks like their colony on a sister planet which was blasted to the other side of their solar system when their sun exploded. And I believe it's where they found Supergirl in TAS.

Actually. In the book of superman returns the kryptonite did hurt him out in space. It made him very sick. He was so saturated by it he was still weak when he returned to earth

@drew9582 When krypton exploded, it caused the material of the planet to become radioactive, it is still lethal. It is lethal to humans. It could be the same reason as superman gets his powers, it's just the matter from that part of the universe. and lead, shields radiation there fore shielding superman from kryptonite. Not beaking you, just your post sounded like it could open up a mess of future questions.

I just re-watched the dvd yesterday for the 1st time in over a year, and I've changed my mind on it. I enjoyed it more now than when I saw it in the theatre. The movie is beautifully shot, art direction is fantastic. The only thing missing was a little more action. Can't wait for the next reboot.

Argo City is New Krypton in space, astronomers were certain, superman had to follow a voyage the 2 years distance light, in the Southeast sector of the kryptonian space, it go to find Argo City, in fact.

As for me, the fact that Krypton didnt shatter into a zillion ionized pieces leaves an opening for the survival of Argo City, a whole kryptonian city that was jettisoned into space following the explosion of the red sun and the planet itself.

I'm still hoping to see the real scene once. I read this scene in the script and it just seems like an exciting scene (with supes almost dying of the green-k radiation. At the very last moment he can whisper to the computer: "Home", which makes the craft return to earth (hence the title )

Although, for me, the movie of 1978 is the most beautiful ...

What I don't understand about this scene...it was filmed, completely...I remember getting the Superman Returns card set, and it had over a dozen photos from the scene. Then, Singer doesn't put it in the movie, and doesn't put it in the DVD either. What's the point of filming a scene like this and not show it? Not to say that putting this in would have made this movie great, because it wouldn't have. However, it WOULD have made it better. They should have listened to fans before cutting this.

The reason why was the thinking that in a sequel, they could incorporate the footage there in a flashback/recap (like say, using that footage to establish something like Brainiac or Mongul following the ship's trail back to Earth). Or at the very least, save it for a "Extended Edition Special DVD" that Hollywood is fond of doing nowadays.

Lord knows we'll see it some day, probably when a new Superman film is released (with all the other films getting new Blu-Ray editions, most likely).

This is not the entire scene that was filmed. This is a nice tribute job by a creative and clever fan, but we all need to demand that Singer or Warner release the footage that was shot for the film.

I think Superman Returns would have been a much stronger film if the "Return to Krypton" scene had been included. I have no clue why they wasted the whole scene and did not even allude to it or show bits of it or explain why it was cut on the DVD.

This oversight is one reason we'll see no sequel.

Seeing this would have made the movie way better, they just kind of skipped over the parts about how he got there.
