anyone know how I can go about installing FROM a Usb drive vice a DVD?

I know it's possible for Windows 7. I have a laptop with a fubar dvd drive I want to put OsX on to try it all out

guys, i installed another osx for pc torrent before which was 4.3 gigs but when i downloaded and open the winrar file, it only had 8 files which amounted to like 200kb. does anyone know what to do or is there any trick?

It's annoying, I cant get iATKOS Leopard to work. As it wont boot after install, only the Safe boot works. My sound card works normally but In safe boot it wont load the drivers!

ok i did but when i install it and u no when u go to the disk utilities and click on the drive well i made a partition and it doesnt show it how can i fix this?

I had the same problem, what you need to do is delete every partition on the drive and make a new one compleatly. It worked for me.

Yep get rid of everything. you want a BLANK drive.

when i booted up the cd i got this message saying "still waiting for root device"what does that mean?

I am not entirely sure, but i have had loads of failed attempts in doing this and all i can say is, make sure you hard drive is formatted in 'OSX Extended Journelled' make sure you disk is patched for you processor i.e. SSE2. and make sure you are using the correct kernel on boot, i.e. -vinilla. Good luck!

i have another question ...if i successfully install mac os x tiger on my computer, can i go to the apple store and get a mac os x leopard disk and install it on my pc just like that or will i have to do it the OSx86 method????

No, you will have to always get a specific version for OS86, however if you are really interested in using leopard on your pc then subscribe beause i am nearly done downloading a copy of leopard for myself. I will post a video and we'll take it from there.
