  • Right! Strange feedback about this video again.

  • you can go in spray transfer and zap it keeping them tight and hot and that will look nice if you know what to do and your good i know its not the right way but it works good if your in a certian situation. Use esab coreweld 70 .045 92% argon 8% co2 best mig wire also known as metalcore wire not fluxcore its similar but runs alot nicer better arc charteristics awesome penetration and bead apperence i highly reccomend this welding wire for spray arc mig welding

  • OMG. Dont listen to this guy. This is the second video I've watched him do and they where both wrong! All he knows how to do is go in circles. Here's how your supposed to do it. You go LEFT to RIGHT. Pausing 2-3 seconds on the left and right side but not in the middle. that way your weld isnt convex in the middle like his. Also make sure your wire doesnt shoot pass the top edge of the weld when you weave left to right. Go to school and get certified. Dont believe this guy. This would FAIL!

  • oh no, i hope i find a good vertical up video soon.... lol

  • nonsense wouldnt pass any asme or en weld tests

  • i just started mig welding today. thank you for these tips

  • What kind of technic do you use to weld a uphill flux weld do you use the triangle technic for a one pass uphill on 3/8s material useing 100% co2

  • @ryuken6718 you can go straight up if ya want with flux, i go fast and weave it. i go fast enough so im not burning into the slag. always keep a molten pool, otherwise you can trap slag.

  • hey i always wondered what is they brown watery lookin stuff on the weld sometimes at :28

  • @ihaveaverybadcold Its residual silica (glass) that takes the place of slag that you would see in a SMAW bead. Since the shielding for the weld is the gas in the cylinder, the silica in the 70s-6(s=silica) forms glass on the bead. This will be more noticeable when using CO2 than when using a 75%argon 25% CO2 gas. Also, the hotter the weld (with too little wire speed) the glass will turn darker brown rather than a greenish brown.

  • @teachagmech awesome man thx!

  • this guy really knows how to weld. kudos man! talk about finding your calling in life...unreal welds!

  • Great videos. Making me jealous that I can't get to my miller 252 right now.

  • Thanks for the video. I was installing some lights on a older boat trailer today, I started with what I thought was the right way...FAILED. I youtube'd uphill welding found this video and started the triangle method and it works. Thank You.

  • that steel mix sure makes for awsome looking welds, i know this is ER-70s6........................i just wondered wat the 6 stands for

  • i started mig welding today at shop and i was wondering wht is the difference in uphill welding and flat welding... like joint on a table... !?

  • good advise dude !

  • how would you set a miller threephase welder using 035 wire with 90-10gas to weld uphill on 3/4 plate?think it will take three passes to fill gap, this is for certification.

  • What kind of wire are you using? .035, .045? And when im welding on 1/4" steel plate I get alot of burn off on the top side of my lap joints, although I'm sure 1/2" plate would make a difference - I've got my dials set correctly, but maybe I'm running a little too hot?

  • .035" lincoln L56 E70s6 with 75/25 argon/co2

  • Thanks!!
