Doha, Abu Dhabi or Dubai could provide all the luxury and state of the art infrastructures for international events. Aside from this, these Arab cities are very very very rich and their government could afford all structures without putting the burden on the citizens.
Doha really could've won if they didn't decide to host the Olympics in October. It had a higher score than Rio which won the bid . So Rio just got lucky to be in the final 4 and win the bid.

After seeing this video, I must say Doha is rather impressive! I'm now torn between Doha and Rio. Baku would be nice, but too much of a long shot. The Japanese deserve to host the summer games again, but maybe 2020. A huge NO to Madrid! The games shouldn't return to Europe until at least 2024, and even then they should go to Paris. No to Chicago as well. Don't bring the games back to the US for a few decades.

They already set a budget of 25 Billion dollars to host it who else can spend such this amont Chicago and Tokyo hardly collected 1 Billion from donations while Doha 2016 announce recently to host 100,000 of youth to watch the olympic games and will pay all their airlines and hotel costs as bounce on the current budget and they preparing for some coming suprises

I bet Doha would win. The IOC is greatly impressed by the spectacle and the cost they gave for the Asian Games in 2006. Im confident Doha would win this. Its Doha 2016!

Doha is the shit! I'm Canadian, and can say its better going on holiday in Qatar than in the smelly US.
2016 would be sick but the radical/revolutionaries/anti-establishment mentality of certain individuals in that part of the world (Southern Eurasia) will weigh heavily against this bid. Other than that why not?
