@iheartme225 tell your teacher to stop teaching this false propaganda. People think continents are like floating lillypads. All the continents are connected or else what is under the oceans, a hollow bottomless void? To make the diagram work, they had to shrink Africa by 1/3 and take out all of Central America and Mexico. There's too many lies in school text books and this is 1 of the biggest. Type in "Lies in the text books" by Kent Hovind if you want to learn science

@34craigjan No I don't think the continents did float like lily pads... they are rooted with the core. The only trustworthy evidence I would go for is the Bible. The flood must have been a pretty momentous event. Genesis 10:25 talks about the earth being divided. This would help explain how come animals inhabit all continents. Can't imagine kangeroos swimming to Australia from wherever they started.
