  • WTH was that rocky in the beginning?

  • Um when I first saw the trailer of Wii, I thought this was just another fail attempt from nintendo. I thought it would have shitty motion detectors and graphics. But guess what? My parents got me a Wii for christmas. And wow, in about 15 minutes I totally felt in love with it! It AMAZING! Specially mario kart frickin rocks. And no there are barely any injuries, so I do recommend this console to EVERYONE of ANY age.

  • Well, the Wii is rather childish and not as fun as the PS3, but the exercise you get from Wii is a hundred times more fun than going out for a run!

I have both... If I want to have fun, I'll play FIFA Street V3 on the PS3 or Blazing Angels. If I need some fat-burning, I play Wii-Sports Boxing and Tennis.

The only things that suck about the Wii is the geeky Japanese games you can buy (like Zelda). Oh, and Wii Golf sucks ass too!

  • Wii is actually better in a way because you're not sitting down on your ass and everything. You could still get a bit of a workout and an Xbox 360 is good too, but it's still a fun console. Although, I don't actually own a 360 so I can't say if it's fun or not. And Nintendo made a huge comeback, just wait till Xbox and PlayStation tries to copy...

  • To nintendoforever: They weren't really trying to put Ninty down, at least not in my interview. They wanted to talk about the exercise angle.

EktBoy: actually, a LOT of elderly/care homes are getting Wii's to promote Range Of Motion exercise and social gathering

GoLuckyOoops.... Yes, you are 100% right; my sorry butt is lazy.

  • I know but i was just saying...since this video reminded me of that

  • If you are sore after you play wii then that means you need real exercise haha

  • this is why

WII ARE FOR KIDS AND TEENS BUT NOT OLD PEOPLE

  • dumb americans always try to put a company down

  • i agree stupid drunks

  • Duh you have to already be kinda fit or else the workout wil be too much for you. Geez ever notice its only americans reporting these problems?

  • in the first day i played wii alot gotted 3 days ago in my hand and back aches

  • you'll get used to it

  • Thanks for the resurgence of interest in the video :) I never claimed to be injured, just sore. Also, if your argument is "You don't need to stand up for..." or whatever, then I can't defend any of my statements; for the most part, you don't *NEED* to swing your arms or but effort into your movements for the Wii.. but then, what's the point :)

  • he played for 3 hours... and if he's not active, it's pretty obvious. =)

  • ok well you don't need to stand for guitar hero neither you dumb fuck

  • lmao i have played many games for long on a wii mario and sonic olimpics uses loads of arm power

and ive played that for longer than 3 hours

also i havnt got any injurys

  • lol they ignored the warning, no wrist straps... They are going to break that TV.

  • Pretty sore after only 3 hours??? Out of shape bastards...

  • a cat dead by a wii...a noob let the wii remote get out of his hands in a game u gotta move very fast...i didnt saw which game...right to the head of the cat between his eyes

  • i played i play super mario glaxcy for about 6 hours 7 hours

  • ohh, yeah yeah.

    thats true for ps3 though

  • not expensive. 250 half of ps3

  • I believe he was talking about the PS3 since the Wii is neither a power hog nor is it expensive.

  • 3hours is not long 4me..i played zelda 6hrs wen i frst got it

  • I need to see Smack Down on Wii :D

  • ps3 sucks why you think the wii sells out every time it stocks up in a store?

and the ps3 is fully stocked all the time...

Tell ya anything about the ps3?

  • no their great, but they suck power and are expensive

  • Their not wearing the wrist straps. I was hoping they would of broken the TV.

  • yeah how funny would that have been lol

  • yea ps3 slays duh

  • wow somebody needs to get a life. haha 3 hours into the game WTF. retard

  • Hey Kat, thanks for dropping by!

  • I disagree. If I wanted to have a pc, I'd get a real pc, something that was designed for that one sole purpose.

Unless it's core 2 duo, with 2gb ram, and an ati x1950 pro or higher video card with 512mb, I wouldn't want to even use it.

Leave Pcs to Pcs and gaming consoles to gaming consoles. Hybrids never win.

  • An "avid" gamer would know already that ps3 is a garbage system with nothing to offer and absolutely no good games.

Any sort of gamer with any real long-term gaming experience has either:

    Not played ps3

    or simply dislikes it.

    It has ***nothing***.

  • That's not entirely true. Yes, the PS3 is very, very lacking in games right now, but as Sony has stated a few times; it's not just about games. The PS3 can run Linux, and has wireless mice/keyboards available; it's trying to be a functional computer as well as a game console. I appreciate you trying to defend my "I haven't played it" statement, but the PS3's only *real* fault is cost.

  • i broke my friends tv with a wii. you know what the funny thing is? two people have smashed his tv. lol it was fun but it sucked.

  • WTF, he hasn't even played PS3 and they call him a 'avid' gamer...it's at gamestop, jesus christ...

  • That's actually a funny story. The legal department at my job suggested that I not answer questions comparing one system to another. I told the producer this, and she agreed. They asked anyway, so that was the only response I could give since I was on national TV. Now that I'm not, I can say that I've played a PS3, and much prefer the Wii.

  • Was that your first time on T.V.? Cos if it was, I would agree with Johkonut cos you did well answering those questions :)

  • Sort of. I was a part of my high schools internal weekly "news" show, but that only went out to 800-1000 people. This was my first time doing anything national. And thank you :) I think I've mentioned before, but I'd love to do more of this stuff; I enjoy thinking on my feet.

  • i agree with him slightly but i still hear of injuries no matter of the warnings. i heard a man smashed his 60 inch TV with a wii

  • I was over at my freinds house playing his Wii and we stayed up all night. No sleep at all what so ever. All we did was play wii sports. No other game. We played Baseball for 6 hours or so and when I went home I fell straight to sleep, woke up, and my arm was ACHING! really bad.

  • u handled those questions pretty nicely

  • yeh flare576 i know what u mean about being sore the same happend to me i went to school and i couldnt lift my arms much but thts because its a new way of playing in a sense but i thought the more u play you adjust more and u become less vunrable to injuries. ^^ kepp the vids coming.

  • Yup! I've beaten Zelda, gotten Pro status in bowling, and am on my way in Tennis, and I've NEVER been as sore as on that first day. Doesn't mean it's any less fun, though!

  • What an ugly mofo

  • Thanks for the comment! As soon as you post a video about yourself, I'll take you seriously :)

  • It's really nice to know that someone with half a brain is able to type near-curse words, AND use improper punctuation!!!

Flare, it's really cool how you got on TV!

    ...

    (Somewhat Jealous)

  • how did they called you up and why you?did you have some kind of contact in CNBC?

  • This all actually started when I posted on my LiveJournal (same user name) about how sore I was after playing Wii. A reporter for the WSJ commented and I called him. That Saturday I was mentioned in an article about the "Wii effect". The next Monday the reporter called for permission to give out my phone number, and after I got a call from CNBC. We worked out the details and the next day I was on their show.

  • that is not you.

  • The two standing up and playing the Wii, no, but it's me in front of the fake city background.

  • seriously? so you own a wii? finally i found someone :) umm do you know what the component cables are? their sold serparetly apparently.. just kinda curious.. and if you own any first person shooters do you think their fun with the wii's controls?

  • The component cords are worth every penny, but I don't have them yet :( As far as PFS's, I own Red Steel, and I'd suggest renting it. I think the genre has real promise on the Wii, but this game feels rushed.
