  • Helpful? I think not. How about 30 seconds on how to set up a track for it, how to route MIDI to it, etc., i.e., how to USE it? We can twiddle knobs and hear what it does on our own if we can get it running in the first place, so how about showing us THAT?

  • You must be confusing this video with "How to set up a Virtual Instrument in Pro Tools". Of which there are a quite a few. Then again you could always actually read the manual you lazy moron.

  • good stuff

  • thanks heaps mate. Excellent work.. sounds great cant wait to use it.

  • THANK YOU! Very helpful, indeed, and much appreciated.

  • heh funny

  • when i try to open up mini grand , xpand, or boom,... it says "please locate content file" . the files are there. what can i do to fix this?

  • sounded like he was playing the buffy theme on piano

  • i was jammin thru some grooves with this vst last night and it was sick as hell, baby! haha

i use Toontrack's Superior Drummer 2.2 and loads of sick kits and midi drums files to last a lifetime ;)

  • how do i use these instruments without a midi keyboard?

  • There is a program called Chirp that turns your computer keyboard into a midi controller. However, midi keyboards are so cheap now that you can buy one for the price of the software. Of course you could also just write the midi notes in with the pencil tool.

  • @WACH08 Buy a cheap second hand midi capable synth/keyboard...when/if you're lucky you buy it for 25$

PS only buy a velocity sensitive keyboard (keys can sense how hard or soft you hit the keys)

  • @WACH08 program midi data with your mouse....and what he said ^^^

  • So does Pro-Tools come with virtual instruments?

  • Lots.
