I'm Acadian myself, but we've never heard of this in Acadia...although
I've heard of "guerriseurs' (healers) but we did not believe in them.
My friend saw one every sunday and he would make her bathe 7 times/day then
wrap herself in a wool blanket. She was epilectic. Was she healed? NO.
Why? Well, now that I read the Bible, JESUS did not treat this as a disease, but cast it out as a demon. Rite.
