I got 3 questions.

I have ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 with FX 6100 but I realised that my pc is ridiculously slow for a 3.30ghz speed.

Secondly my chasis fan keeps on running at 100%.

Thirdly, why did you not unlock all 6 cores?

I have this same motherboard im am looking at buy a OCZ Agility 3 60gb to use as a boot drive for my OS but it is Sata 3 and this motherboard is sata 2 can u use this sad with this motherboard

@TheMarc98765 It will work just fine. The Agility series has a theoretical transfer speed of 500MB read and 250MB write and that is at full blast. SATA 2 should handle 250MB easy and that is more than enough to notice a big difference compared to any rotational drive. Thanks for watching!

@Renegade3988 Yes you do need both power plugs. You can also get an adapter that will use a 4pin molex and convert it to the 4 pin eatx you need for the mobo.

@joker121joker If you have not bought anything yet then I would say save the cash and get the fx 4100 and spend that extra cash on the 6970 if you can. I think you can find one for about $350 from Amazon. In terms of gaming, a 6 core cpu is not going to make that much of an improvement. The real improvement you would see is in transcoding video (converting video from one format to another) or rendering a video (editing video). Thanks for watching!

@Dmanplayer723 It is great. It runs all day every day in an office environment for about 2 months now with no problems. I am having trouble over clocking it past 4.2Ghz though. For some reason it won't stay locked on to 4.2Ghz. It fluctuates up and down. It does not harm anything, it's just strange. Thanks for watching.

@johnnythegeek1 on my backup rig, I have a msi 880gma-e45 motherboard. I have the sempron 140 unlocked and it shows up as a athlon II x2 4400e, and I've overclocked it at 3.5ghz; without adjusting the voltage! It's a great chip!

@360virus It will not with the mobo in this video but it should work with the mobo I linked to in the description. This mobo in the video only supports 95watt and the 8 core is 125watt. But the mobo I linked to in the description should support 125watt cpu's

@rusmanna These parts look good but try for a slightly better hard drive like a 500GB. It's not so important about the size but the newer models would be a little bit faster in load times. A DVD burner will do just fine because it will have everything. Other than that, this system looks good. Let us know how it turns out.

@409346 You may have to return the board to the manufacturer as an RMA if you can't get a hold of an older AMD cpu to drop in there temporarily just to update. I will be making another video in a few weeks on how to update the BIOS. Stay tuned.

hi i have the same mobo as u any suggestions for cpu cooling as i want some better cooling for O.C my cpu..... aswell as this mobo being micro atx and the dimm slots are quite close to the cpu socket therefore dont want too meaty cooling to avoid collisons ect.

A small addendum...somehow i managed to do something right with the connectors, my pc starts, but the VGA screen is black, no signal received...i don't think the hdd is booting, because the video card is properly set, and the monitor's connector works when i plug it into my laptop to duplicate its display. The hdd is SATA and its connectors to the MB and the power source are properly placed. what do you think is wrong ?

i am having trouble properly setting up the front panel connectors. my power led had 3 pins, the one in the middle blank, so i gently cut it in half to separate the + and - bpins. The manual lists the connectors in reverse, with the 5 pins up for power led & power sw, and the other 4 pins + blank down for hdd & reset leds. Anyway, can you explicitly give me the exact positions (+ & -) for all 4 connectors with the MB's real positioning (4 pins+ blank on the upper side above the other 5 pins) ?

@DKtheHuNk From what I have read, the difference so far is that the plus supports 125 watt CPU's. You can still overclock the M5A78L-M LX if you put a 95watt or less cpu in it. But not if you put a 125watt cpu in it. That what I accidentally did in my previous video.
