  • From Xiaolin Showdown to Wikipedia to here.

  • Danny Cooksey does cartoon voices now or at least did. he did the voice for that bully kid on Tiny Toon Adventures...Max I think( the rich kid). he's done others too, but thats all I remember. I miss this time and i love this song...he should be singing again.

  • Danny Cooksey played step brother Sam on Different Strokes....Mackenzie Astin played the red headed kid on facts of life...Drummer Brooks Wackerman is the drummer for Bad Religion, he also played for Infectious Grooves, Suicidal Tendencies, and played on Korns Untitled cd. Guitarist Thomas McRocklin was discovered by Steve Vai, shredding as good as Vai and played the young Vai in his...The Audience is Listening video. Dumbass U thought Mac Astin was Danny Cooksey!!! ha ha u Suck!!!

  • That's ok ;)

  • can't believe this video is buried in page 2 in the search results for "nineteen!" this should be the first video...

  • I remember watching this episode of the Ball in the early 90's, and I am glad I remembered in 2012 that they may be on Youtube. Always wondered what happened to them, they got air play a few more times after this (first hour only) and then nothing... Good to see this again!

  • I'm nineteen and I like it lol. =)

  • BUDNICK!

  • Wow I remember this...sucked then and really sucks now...horrible.

  • This is so terrible

  • I wanna know what happened to Tommy McRocklin, he was such an awesome guitar player

  • He got fed up with the business, and hasn't been heard from since.

  • This is actually a Phil Lynott song.

  • I like this better than Ronnie Pinsky's band.

  • Sounds like an Awful Waffle.

  • Fucking right on!

  • Hanson decided to be a rock band...but failed. LOL!! UBUNTU

  • Funny these guys are not even nineteen yet :-)

  • Phil Lynott would've slapped the dog piss out of Sam from Diff'rent strokes.

  • WOW, that Danny Cooksey has a powerful voice. I loved this band in the early 90's. Shame they did not hang around long. Gone, but not forgotten.

  • bobby budnick rockin out to some phil lynott, too bad he moves around like axl rose instead of doing knee bends and eye winks like phil

  • Thomas McRocklin is fucking rad.

If he'll come back nowadays. he will be one of the greatest guitarist in the world.

    ^ FACT (lol :P )

  • @guysapire No kidding... Rock is in his name, damn it!! :D

  • Danny Cooksey was my first crush when I was just a kid--as Bobby Budnick on Nickelodeon's Salute Your Shorts. I had no idea of the connection between him and the 80s hard rock bands that also became beloved of me during my teen years. Awesome!

2:37 Danny looks like Axl Rose!

  • @Whammytap He's actually better looking than Axl Rose. lol

  • @FireyBlaze101 I would have to agree with you there! :)

  • BUDNIK!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i could defitnely picture these guys opening for megadeth or kiss in the early nineties

  • This is one of the last albums I purchased on cassette back in 1994/1995. It's great and brings back a lot of fond memories for me. The album was actually produced and co written by Steve Vai!

  • good song

  • This guys rocked for a bunch of teenagers!!! Whatever happened to these guys?

  • I still play this CD once in a while when I miss being 13 :D

  • isn't the drummer brooks wackerman? chad's brother?

  • ^^ They did actually play the music themselves. My husband is the drummer. (lol) I've seen VHS videos of rehersals and gigs they did. The guitarist could have been HUGE had he not died.

  • @MommaRedWitch Thomas Mc Rocklin is dead? Last I heard was that he works somewhere in a music shop...

  • Danny Cooksey looks like a VERY young Phil Mogg. :)

  • Bad 4 Good was my first all time favorite band... I was all of 11 or 12 and was hooked immediately!!! Good times!

  • holy horseshit.

i guess this was steve vai's failed attempt to make a metal version of a boy band.

no way those kids aren't faking it.

if people only knew how much smoke and mirrors there is in the pop music world.

milli vanilli were just the only ones that got caught.

  • @jwallbanger they can all actually play and he can actually sing. i don't see how you could think they're faking...

  • @jwallbanger They aren't faking you moron. I know that's what people would think nowadays with all the crap being passed off as music, but this group actually played their instruments.

  • @steelerfreak1977 And you know this, how? You were in the band? You were a stage hand? Seems pretty suspicious to me, especially with that facts of life kid singing lead.

Having been involved in the side of the business where pros are hired to play for kids with nice looks, I know it happens and not rarely. Smoke and mirrors is common in the music industry, Milli Vannilli are just the ones that got caught and ONLY because of an equipment failure.

    Please don't call me names.

  • @jwallbanger Uh, yeah I WILL call you names because you are being a dumbass. First of all, the kid from facts of life wasn't on facts of life. It was different strokes and salute your shorts. And guess what? He was a singer before he was an actor. The drummer has played with numerous bands, the bass player graduated from a music school and the guitar player can be seen here on youtube when he was 8 years old shredding.

    Moron.

  • @steelerfreak1977 he was also on facts of life genius, look it up. he guest starred more than once as those diff'rent strokes characters frequently guest starred. don't know why you're getting so upset. maybe you're in love with him? didn't mean to insult your gay boyhood crush, DUMBASS.

ok then, got better things to do than argue over a stupid 80's phony rock band. won't be reading any more of your crybaby horseshit, so go yank it to 80's teen idol magazines instead. bye

  • the singer is Danny Cooksey. He played Sam the little red head kid on Different Strokes on its last season. He was also a frequent quest on various talk shows when he was a little boy. He started out singing country. My favorite memory of him was when he sang a honkytonk cheating song on the Tonight Show and cracked up Johnny Carson. He couldn't have been over 10 or 11.

  • salute ur shorts!

  • jonas brothers, and justin biber can learn alot from these guys. They know how to make music, and jonas bros, and justion biber don't

  • Steve Vai really knows how to pick em

  • somehow i get the impression that they werent really playing. were they pulling a milli vanilli on us?

  • The 2 people who disliked this NEED an Awful Waffle. Time to grab the tennis racket, Vacuum cleaner, and syrup!

  • Wow, I always thought Bobby Budnick's rock/metal antics and what not from Salute Your Shorts was all part of the character. I had no clue he actually was a rockstar. And not in a crappy band like Disney's Jonas Brothers, but an ACTUAL GOOD band. and for their age, they're better than a lot of bands today. Danny (budnick) sounds a lot like Dave Mustane IMO.

  • @pimpdaddy316 I'd dare say he has better pitch that Mustaine. No, he's not a better overall musician, but Budnick should be making music somewhere today. That's an amazing voice.

  • @ccrosbie33 Why are you using Budnick and Dave Mustaine in the same sentence? Are you fucking kidding me?

  • Well, he's successful as a voice actor where he sometimes screams like this. XD

  • Impressive, what were they 12 - 16 years of age? My god at 1:23 that guitar solo, how old was he then? Wiki sates he was 12 years old?

  • tokio hotel ,eat this

  • it seems everytime i think "i've got all the classic hair metal albums" the this bad boy turned up via one of my many searches... holy s**t!!! how f***king cool is this song!!! long live the SLEAZE METAL!!!! :)

  • Shove this right down the throats of Biebers, Mileys and the other candy assed kid/teen music producers of this day and age. They will NEVER amount to the pureness, awesomeness and quality of a teen band such as Bad 4 Good.

  • damn they're good o.o

  • This song makes me wanna fart!

  • Did you guys know he was on Quake 4? Yeah no shit he was the medical officer you escort.

  • What the hell? Where is Donkey Lips?

  • @NinjaFaceLift the last time i saw him was in a movie named the day my parents ran away

  • It's a shame. Danny Cooksey was just as old then as Beiber is now, along with the rest of the band (whom I believe were all under 16) yet the crap Beiber releases is blown up but these guys rock much harder and even had assistance from Steven Vai.

  • rockers don't dance. dancing is for fags.

  • their clothing sucks

  • @lester5192 Hahaha spoken like a true kid who never saw the 90s.

  • @BradRapstars you're gay

  • @lester5192 So was your mom but that apparently didn't make any difference.

  • @BradRapstars and so was your uncle when he forced his drunk ass inside you when you were 6. LOL.

you got raped as a little boy. ha ha. molested fuck. LOL

  • @lester5192 Well, since you didn't argue against it, I presume that means your mom actually was a huge dyke then. Also it's not rape if you consent.

  • @BradRapstars you didn't argue about being molested as a child either. lol. ha ha you're damaged goods and are dead inside. ha ha

you will die alone. lol. ha ha

  • loud, love it, classi!

  • amazing! whoever say today's kids are on steroids should listen to this first.

  • Dude the lead singer is from salute your shorts plus in my opinion he looks like axel rose and sounds a little like dave mustaine.

  • These kids frickin' rock the shit out of this original Thin Lizzy song! Nothing short of amazing. The guitar player, Thomas, was a studunt of Steve Vai (Steve produced this band), and the drummer, Brooks Wackerman (son of pro drummer Chad Wackerman) is now with Bad Religion. The singer, Danny, has a rock voice to rival any of the best hard rock voices, and the bass player Zack is the youngest graduate of the Bass Institute of Technology. They really were a great band and were so talented. TZ

  • @jonjon1212 , yes, and Keef of Invader ZIM!

  • @Realalover, YES!

  • Why is it that Danny Cooksey is never mentioned when he carried the show Different Strokes when Gary Coleman was very ill during the series run. Not even Todd Bridges mentions Danny.

  • It's sad when a group of kids were making music that kicks the shit out of today's "professionals"

  • i wish jack song in the cartoon !XD

  • It's hard to believe this was little Sam from Different Strokes. Love it

  • ...because of the nirvana "big bang!!"

  • what happend to these guys!? They're good! Where's this kind of music today?

  • Holy shit. This is not only an insane budnick thing... it's also a phil lynott cover.

  • Saw these guys in a club back in '92 when this was out. They rocked, the guitarist and the drummer especially. The guitarist's real name is Thomas McLoughlin but was changed to Thomas McRocklin for some reason.

  • Just really sweet kids, too bad they never made it!

  • Bad 4Good ..........simply awesome!!!!!!!

  • Danny Cooksey!

He has one of the coolest, most reckognizable voices out there~

    I absolutely love this song

I think he's in a band called Arbuckle now.

Actually, I think I remember seeing in an episode of Diff'rent Strokes once (the one where he's kidnapped), but does anyone remember him in Terminator 2?

  • @EmptyBrooke wow way to quote the wiki there haha

next time you wanna sound smart try coming up with your own info

  • @joker8415 I don't use wiki. It's unreliable, since people can change it. I just saw Terminator 2 and I recognized him. I'd forgotten he was in it. Plus, I listen to Arbuckle, so I knew him from that and pretty much the only episodes of Diff'rent strokes I watched were the ones with him in em. Plus his voice acting is awesome and I've been watching Xaoilin Showdown XD (he always seems to do the evil red head voices)

  • I remember they premiered this on MTV in the summer and had people call in to vote. I think it got some love that day but between all the Salute Your Shorts and Diff'rent Strokes references, no one could take these guys that serious. This is a rockin tune...too bad theyre full of crap because they were all 16 and under at this point

  • It's too bad that when this came out, most people were jumping on the fad of feeling sorry for themselves & bitching and moaning about how bad life was, because this band was awesome.

  • The guitarist was a student of Steve Vai believe it ro not...many years ago.

  • @TheLivingDeadBoy Not, Steve Vai seen him at a festival in England. He never took lessons from Steve.

  • @Raidergod69 Ahh, must have gotten it mixed up...or something I read somewhere was wrong...thought he took some lessons from Steve. Thanks for clearing it up. The kid rocks though!

  • @TheLivingDeadBoy Sorry bro, just reread that. I didn't mean to come sounding so cocky, just wanted to point out how they hooked up. Rock on.

  • they were flipping amazing.

  • Correction. His name was Budnick on the show, but I think his real name is Danny. IDK, I could be thinking of Danny Timberelli from The adventures of Pete & Pete

  • That is Danny from Salute Your Shorts in the first 0:03 seconds

Salute Your Shorts, I remember the guy who blows the trumpet in the begining of that show was named "Donkey" who remembers what show was after

Salute Your Shorts on Nickedodeon on Saturday mornings? It was

"Hey, Dude" that show about people living on a ranch, then I think it was

"Wild & Crazy Kids" - I loved the mall specials of Wild & Crazy Kids!!!!

  • woah! i didn't know bobby budnik was so rad

  • Bad 4 Good Rules!!!!!!!!!!

  • Brooks went to Infectious Grooves and Bad Religion, whatever happened to Thomas McRocklin?

  • Danny Cooksey? I forget after so long, I had them recorded off HBB as well, 1990s. Metal still lives, Hard Rock can never die...and Rock N Roll last 4 Ever. Hey, Nineteen! (Winger!!!haha)

  • first time listening to this band they fuckin rock fuck nirvana and all that grungey shite

  • they are rockin, plus you have to love its Phil Lynotts song rip

  • fuck you budnick lol

  • hyour roasted..toasted..and burned to a crisp

  • i think the red head was on salute your shorts...hes the one that says "make me wanna fart" in the song for the show

  • @jonjon1212 Yeah he was also John Connor's friend in Terminator 2

  • @jonjon1212 yup he was also the voice actor for Jack Spicer and was John connors friend in T2

  • @jonjon1212 thats because he is

  • @jonjon1212 lmao i remember that show he is that kid

  • @jonjon1212 Yup, thats him. Butnick.

  • @jonjon1212 Budnick i mean

  • Cool stuff!!! Too bad the biz changed in the 90s...this is actually a cover tune, for those of you who don't know - It was written and performed by the late Phil Lynott (of Thin Lizzy)

  • *bows to Danny*

  • Danny has done a lot of voices in cartoons..pepper ann to name a great one.

  • THAT'S the voice of JACK SPICER?!?! OoO;

  • @Realalover thats what i sayed,jayson marsdens song i love you babe in a video,lol

  • @Realalover he was also in Quake 4 as the medical officer

  • These Guys Hell of ROCKED! I feel they have the potential to become legions in their time its a shame where the fuck are these guys and are they still a band? We need music like this to Wake people up and stop whining and just rock out and fuckin get over it shit.

  • little Sam...Arnold's Brothers on the tv films...greattttttttttt Danny great voice!!!!

  • BUDNIK!!!

  • classic vid, thanks for the post!!!

  • I saw this guys live at a RIP magazine show and they were AMAZING live.

  • their album was pretty good. Mother of Love was my favorite.

  • this is like a motley crue guns n roses mix

  • mmh nope, these kids are heavy metal, motley and guns are glam and power balads

  • This effing rocks!!! I love music like grunge, rock, metal...etc!

  • The drummer is related to an outstanding drummer

Chad wackerman.played with zappa.enough said.these guys should kick hanson's ass.

  • they rule

  • Danny Cooksey, the singer does some voice-over work now.

His most noticible work right now is he's the voice for the title character in the cartoon series "Dave the Barbarian".

  • Brooks Wackerman (drums) is in Bad Religion now. This band was just a front for McRocklin, the guitarist.

  • I loved these guys, or kids if you will. I bought the album on tape (Remember those?) the day it was released. Have enjoyed them ever since. Thanks for posting this jam!

  • Haha! They kick ass! The fk'n anti-Hanson! Too bad the industry changed on them. Wonder if any of them are still in the biz.

  • Danny sings in a band, Arbuckle. You can find his new band on MySpace. Zack, the bassist, plays in a band called A.I.
