My favorite Soloist singing one of my favorite songs. He sang this at the first concert I had the pleasure and privilege of seeing him.
When he was with The Trio with the late, great Anthony Burger and the great tenor Kirk Talley they would tease him about being Native American- especially in the video where Ivan wore a pink rabbit costume!!
I think he is native american cuz I recall on a tape I have that anthony burger and kirk talley were teasing him about tepee's and smoke signals because of his nationality? All in good fun of course.
I can imagine finally being able to sit it on one of Homecoming gatherings and getting to sing with all the saints that have gone on to our eternal home....
Soon and very soon we won't have to imagine anymore. Our Lord is close to returning. Just make sure that you don't miss out on this glorious event. Salvation is the most valuable gift of all and it's free!!!!!
As I listen to these words; I can see my Mom running around the throne of God praising Him and my Dad bowing at the feet of Jesus worshipping Him for all eternity. I imagine walking into those pearly gates, and their faces being the first thing I see; spending the rest of eternity enjoying the gifts of God.
Thank you Lord for Your grace and mercy; but, thank You even more for giving Your most prized possesion to die on an old rugged cross for me.

Our Lord knows it isn't always easy to remain on that straight but very narrow path to His Kingdom. But, think of the reward!!!! I got saved in 2001 and I've had many ups and downs in my battle against satan. But, it's a war with many daily battles culminating in a lifetime of victory!! Being with OUR JESUS is the FRUIT of that victory!! Don't ever be afraid to let folks know who you are--a truly blessed child of the ONE LIVING GOD!!
9/5/07 Vestal's prayer has given me hope and strength as I pray for Billy's healing and salvation for him and his wife. He has had a massive heart attack and now a severe infection in his body. please, everyone out there, pray for the miracle that his wife is asking for. In Jesus Name ! Amen

@hoover4000 He's not native american. He's my 2nd cousin, his mother and my grandmother are sisters. His mother (Aunt Katie), has the same complexion, as does my grandmother. I grew up hearing him sing a lot when he was with Gold City Quartet. I always enjoyed his vocals. He has a powerful voice! His brother also sings Gospel Music.
Hoover, you have turned me on to so many groups and singers. My husband is going to have a fit when he sees how many new CDs I've bought. My house is filled with gospel music all the time now. I go to sleep every night listening to Best of GVB. Every night.
