I think he has some kind of charm in his youth. It was before he has cut his hair and add moustache to his face. I don't know how explain it but there was an innocence, charm, irrestible and softness in his behaviour. He lost it around 1980. Of course he still was amazing but there was another impression he gave people.

@Akaruisama1 I totally agree. I love him with long hair, no mustache. He had a sensitivity and vulnerability about him. In the 80's he seemed a little more jaded, innocence lost? Of course I love Freddie any way I can get him, but I'm partial to the 70"s Queen as that was my first exposure as a little girl. Now I'm a grandma.

Great song....why is it that the Bands that did hard drugs are still kicking around and poor Freddie had such bad luck? You know who these bands are, but I won't name them because it would be in bad taste. Freddie always took care of himself, especially when he was touring by watching his drinking, etc., and exercising. He was in great shape, yet the knowledge wasn't there yet about HIV and how deadly it was! It was a different time. Freddie should still be here enjoying all this! Luv U

@sw3210 I have read a bit on Freddie, and, of course he did drink and take some recreational drugs, but he mentioned in many interviews that he limited his intake, becaue he was very aware that he had to be healthy in order to sing and perform at the level of excellence that he always did. Of course, his sexual life is another area where he may not have practiced safety and, as we all know, this may have led to his early death. I read that the AIDS drugs could have shortened his life too!

I really believe Freddie was something special both professionally and his beautiufl personality which I think was graced by something heaven sent.
