I have a prosthesis too, and it's made likes hers, except I'm not missing that much of my leg. Just my foot, ankle, and some of my shin is gone, and I'm so lucky I have a knee.. -_- And it actually doesn't take that long to put it on, at least not for me. Anyway, everytime I watch these things, they make me sad knowing that people have to go through the same thing I go through, but actually have it worse. -_-

My left leg is off at the knee (no knee), and I have a suction socket.

It appears to me that you need to use a stump sock to stop your leg from swelling, or put it on as soon as you wake up. My old stump sock is wore out, so I put it on, then wrap my stump with an ace bandage, fairly tight. That way I can get up and sit around for an hour or 2, and still get my leg on quickly and easily.

I love the pin lock setup, but unfortunately, my stump is too long to use that system. Dennis

i have both my legs amputated, a.k and b.k, i put mine on a bit differently, well i have different things to use to put them on, but pretty much almost similair to yours. ..i have yet to personally meet someone amputated like me.

My friend has a leg amputated just under his knee. His prosthetic leg cuts him all the time and I wish they had a better way. I'm hoping they get those power knee ones out soon for those of you who have them above the knee. I have the utmost respect for you for putting up with that every stinking day.

Using the pin locking system is a pain in the ass. I have used them for a while, you have to make sure the pin lines up with the lock. One time it took me a 1/2 hr. I,m also an a.k amputee.

How quickly can you get er done when it goes smooth the first try ? With my setup, I can get my leg on in about 5 munutes max, but then I have to iron my ace bandages and fold them, so the 5 min deal don't really count.
