I just watched some clips of Sunil Kalyan. I don't see how you could say he's better. He has a lot of wasted movement in his te-te's, virtually no modulation in his ghe's and he is playing pretty bland Western rhythms than traditional Indian. He might as well be playing on bongos. Talvin manages to keep his rhythms traditional even to even drum and bass.
