NO I completly disagree with that! it will kill us. Imagine you dont want them how do you exept to take them out plus they expend to infinity. If you play Metal Gear Solid 4 maybe you will know that it is a real bad idea
these break throughs are great but they are not done in the best interest of the people, if something good comes of their research only the very rich can afford it...its bitter sweet news.
sounds great to challenge a variety of diseases. but i'm feared of what the military forces for example might get out of this... they always abuse such "great" things for more power and destruction
AIDS is a syndrome, not an infectious disease. the hiv test only tests for proteins and is cross-reactive. conditions such as pregnancy and drug use can cause false positives and the test itself has a disclaimer on it. the leading cause of death for those diagnosed with AIDS is organ failure due to toxic hiv 'medications' which also clearly state how deadly they are. please pray for all those affected by this genocide. also, the micrographs of hiv are fraudulent.
No u missed the point... AIDS is a syndrome but HIV is a virus that infects the LT4 cells and is responsible for AIDS. If we could constantly keep the LT4 cells of an infected person functional with this new drug then the immune system could slowly eliminate the HIV virus and cure AIDS... :|
No the immune system is as good as it is by itself and knows the difference between healthy cells and unhealthy ones (the so called cell identity card).
So boosting it would just increase its performance and not modify its functionality... :|
@VVolfFang Well, you are right! but I don't think they will prescribe it for people with healthy immune systems. Not even for people with HIV, because if they stimulate cd4+ multiplication, they will stimulate virus replication also. I think this drug would be useful for HIV- people under chemotherapy or any other condition that could depress the colonies of cd4+ and other white blodd cells.
Clearly many of you are failing to grasp the scale of this incredible development and how it will change the face of medicine and disease for us all. Genius work.
Or maybe they haven't done anything and it is even not yet feasible. It might be the channel which is the only one who says the scientists have done an immune system drug.
If the channel tells somebody has made a drug when it is just a hypothesis, believing the channel is idiotic. And by the way, you are an asshole. Now you tell me which is worse? ha ha
Sorry. - Read something deeper than a comic book occasionally.
"Death" can not be overcome by our own immune response since the aging process and even the time at which we are supposed to die are HARD WIRED into our genetic code - something t-cells have nothing to do with.
More t-cells are but ONE ELEMENT in creating more immunity to disease and are NOT a means to immortality or zombiism.
"Amortality" is possible in theory if there where means to constantly repare ones cells with for example nano machines... it may be SF for now but in theori it is possible. So b4 criticizing others u should get informed first... maybe u should reed more comics, it'll help u relax... :P
Maybe -- but something like that is total sci fi right now -- fantasy even.
With technology THAT sophisticated we could manufacture rather than grow our own food, or anything else we wanted, In fact, all want would disappear. With that kind of technology, we could create amazing constructions in space - up to and including a Dyson sphere.
If the singularity were to come (and that's really what you're talking about), not even the most fanciful comic books could predict its outcomes
Don't be so hard on meehan. He is trying his best to be critical about lack of responsible sex. That's just how a stereotypical lower class person with little education thinks, it's reactionary. I myself have seen that kind of essentialist honesty too much. Anyway, he is saying he dislikes ignorant people who have unprotected sex despite of the partner having AIDS in the third world. But he should formulate that without malicousness.
Yes, but is this video just hype or are these expectations of replacing all other medicines with a immune system chemical in the aim of those scientists? Does this channel obscure and twist what they are doing into a utilitarian fantasy, how things are historical and ever improving?

Great idea! Just hopefully, it won't boost the immune system to make it attack the healthy cells in our bodies....

There is some truth to that Meehan.
...of course by the same logic, the best way to prevent ignorance would be for people like your parents to not have procreated.
