@spotlightman1234 Yes, corneal transplants can be done; however, the ability to regain your vision would be determined by the availability of a donor (typically they are obtained from recently deceased individuals) and the degree to which the grafted cornea "takes" to the eye.
@mreisley Well at least i know i'm not totally screwed. I already have an eye injury (unrelated to chemistry) in my left eye in which I had to get a replacement acrylic lens. I never will quite be able to see the same, but I can see well enough to operate normally (20/30), and I cant even notice it with both eyes open. I just wanted to know because I have to work with sulfuric acid a lot and it still scares the crap out of me even though I go above and beyond to be safe.
would it be possible for one to get a cornea transplant?
