Your video looks great, I just ordered the PI black to go with my 2GB ocz platinum rev 2, I'm hoping for a slightly faster startup time and less time alt+tabbing out of games.
@markeyboy9944 I would. You can overclock it to 3.4GHz on stock voltage! At this day and age you might wanna go for Core i7 though. but if not, then definitely go for the q9550 man.
I shoot in 1080p using uncompressed .m2t files. Then render using sony vegas 8 Pro. This video was rendered to 1280x720 (720p) 4.3MB's bitrate, .mp4 format.
i think timings are overrated.... from the obscene timings no one would accept of 6-6-6-18 to 4-4-4-12, i got a whopping 40 more 3dmarks! 40! from 1200 to 1240! who gives? completely unnoticeable performance increase, waste of money. just buy the cheapest ram you can get at the frequency you want, no matter the timings, and spend the savings on a better graphics card... just like i7 - unneeded in games.
Yeah I agree totally. I didn't even notice a difference in speed when I had it overclocked. I now have the memory backed off running at 5-5-5-15 at 801MHz. I just wanted the memory because of the upgrade from 2gb to 4gb of ram. Thats really all I was concerned about.
Damn, I get too excited about new computer parts.

I had my q9450 at 3.8 before, I just didn't see the need to constantly be stressing it all the time at that speed so I stepped down to 3.2

Would you recommend a q9550?
