Yeah but it has a purpose. In that anime nudity is necessary especially in some of the scenes. It is required to create that mood and atmosphere which makes the plot much more exciting and vivid. But the hook is not the nudity or violence but the moral that Elfen Lied teaches us. It has a specific message that director wanted to deliver to the public. If u r too concentrated on insignificant details such as nudity or violence u wont recognize that message.
