Hetalia is one of the most beautiful animes I have ever watched.

At first, I just liked it because it was funny.

After I finished the series, I began to realize how much beauty and love and respect was incorporated into each episode.

It seemed to capture the escence of each country to funnily and so correct.

I really think Himaruya had the right idea with this. Personifying the countries, that is. Because if we tried to understand what a country's going through while thinking of it as a country, we don't feel anything. But if we thought of the country as a person, then we would start to understand what's going on.

The series isn't all funny. It's really touched me deep down about how our world works together and functions. I really don't want to get touchy-feely.... but I had a thought. Maybe the reason why we're all here, together, on this Earth, is so that we can get along and understand each others flaws and accept us for who we are.

The thing that's sad is that...so many people DO NOT get it. They can't see the LOVE and the message behind it; the proposal for world peace. Most just see it as a dumb "crack comedy"(and it would not be the same without that crack) when it's actually much more than that. Some of my friends say that Hetalia's characters is their whole country itself, but I don't think so. Their bosses are usually the ones that declare war on each other, sometimes breaking apart alliances in real life, too.
