  • Got chains???

  • idk what he was trying to do but a good tip is to try starting out in second girl in a maual, you wont kick up as much snow off the ice. So probably for this this like start in 5th or 6th

  • When I went and chopped up the ice for him with my blade shovel it was about two inches thick in the shape of previous tires forming a nice tire trap to keep his wheels spinning no matter what he did... it was also in a dip in the road which collected the ice and prevented both sets of wheels from getting much traction since the whole vehicle was lifted up by the back set.

Didn't happen this year due to the warm winter.

  • Hell, He even has lugger tires.. AW has trailer tires for the drives and a no chain policy.

  • loooool

  • i hate getting stuck in the snow fucking a................thank god my neighbor helped me...love that guy :D

  • Herrlich glatt...ich liebe es.

  • how long was he there for?

  • vancouver....tandom.......winter and where are the chains? newb

  • lol this just reminds me about winter and all of our trash not being picked up

  • At least the garbage froze so it didn't rot and stink any worse. ;-)

  • he must of had a heavy load

  • Actually he had almost no load at all.

  • wow

  • He was so frustrated that he said he was quitting early and heading home. Don't know if he did though. Shows the importance of having the right shovels and emergency tools in one's vehicle especially during winter.

  • You know one improvement that WM could make for several fleets that incounter this kind of weather, outlets for like electricity powered ice saws or something that could clear out the ice when needed.

  • Actually he had quite a lot of equipment with him as the videos show. I was watching him try the different solutions and realized that my flat shovel ice chopper tool would likely do the job. Being prepared means having more tools than you need so that you've covered more scenarios than you can possibly imagine could happen. I guess that old boy scout motto makes sense after all.

  • lol, I guess they tought you well in boy scouts!

  • Actually I was very fortunate to avoid the religious cult of the boy scouts. However even though they have fantasy "beliefs" and require all members to have invisible friends their motto "be prepared" still makes sense. They aren't the only ones that make use of being prepared though. Squirrels are quite effective at preparing for winter. So regardless of whether or not you're a boy scout, a squirrel or a garbage truck driver, be prepared. ;-)

  • lol, ok thanks! =D

  • if he had a heavyload he wud have better traction

  • I agree dueltruck700

  • Unbeliveable... Chains, diff lock,

more sand, and he would be out of problems.

  • Actually chains maybe but sand not a chance since the ice wedge fit his tire diameter really well and was deep like a well. I know since I chopped it up with an ice pick shovel.

  • he needs chains

  • poor bastard

  • Well, with an ice chopper we cut away the ice block that was stopping him from backing up and keeping him from moving forward. Took just two minutes... chop... chop... didn't really even have to shovel the fragments away once the ice was chopped.
