One of the better mmo's out now, just had a bad rep cuz of all the funcom haters out there. Sure they game had some issues at launch, what new game doesn't? Thing the negative people fail to mention is a lot of those issues were taken care of fairly soon after launch.

@Julle671 It is an online game so yes you will have to pay for periodically, like with wow or any other mmorpg. If you buy it on steam you will get 30 days of playtime with the purchase from there, I just downloaded the client from funcom's page directly for free, although no 30 day's with the download there so you have to start your payment to funcom to play right away.

i played this game a while and its pretty cool and have all what an mmo should have. But be careful its slow, if you are a real action fan it gets boring after some time. If you dont need the ultimate action experience its definatly worth to play for ppl hwo meets the recommend requirements.

Level 46 Barbarian here on Wiccana server, I quit this game due to the lack of armor sets, overpowered casters, and the game environment that is too caster friendly. Another problem I had was when I was leveling, there was barely anyone to group with because just about everyone was a level 80.

Gather the people, explain the objectives, beat the objective, hope an item for your class drops, pray that you win the role, pray harder that noone 'accidentally' mis-rolls, and then, get hit with a week long lockout timer.

Doesn't matter the server population, even if you raid five different dungeons once a week, it's still boring and redundant and you barely get rewarded.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but you can make nearly any game look cool with some floating camera shots, slow-motion and a good orchestra in the background.

Unfortunately, Age of Conan is a modern MMO clone. All of it's concepts, mechanics, structure, layout and content is just a different themed different visual presentation of EverQuest II, or WoW, or LOTRO etc.

What makes it worse is that it's entirely linear, and you just rush to end game where you sit around in a ...

if more ppl start play age of conan, a will start playing it, a stoped playing do to lack och ppl om the pve server. When i started playing i started on the pvp server and was ganked 24/7 sow started the pve server to learn to get better on the melee system my english is shit good video.

They have merged the servers and their quite full, so there's no problem getting groups and stuff ;) And they've done some cool adjustments to the game so it's alot better. No more bugs, more content and the gear have an effort now.

I ignored all the negative comments spread around the internet regarding AoC and i went out and bought it a couple days ago, and I'm glad I did. Out of all the mmorpg's I've played in the past, this has to be the most fun I've had playing one that I can remember.
