It's fake in that its a small computer. It's simply a screen on a piece of cardboard that is connected to a real computer. The mouse itself can be a small magnet that has a counterpart under the cardboard over a touch pad, but it can still be connected to the bottom of it, so still works like a mouse. The display is the only thing that is real in this, but the signal doesn't go through the small gray wires we see here. But this isn't an easy thing to put together. Good job!

Ha! Now make a real one with an OLED cell phone screen... Really shouldn't be that hard... Since it's unlikely you could get a modern desktop CPU in a case that small, you could opt for a tiny working replica of a Compaq 386 portable. Use a real low power 386 CPU, coupled to an FPGA. Use the FPGA to emulate peripheral hardware. You would also need about 640K of RAM, as that should be enough for anyone... Anyone up for making a tiny, working keyboard? Tiny floppies?

Not entirely sure it is fake. Consider that cell phones are now running on dualcore 1ghz chips, able to fit over 1gb of ram maybe more in that box, and disk space could easily be done with SSD tech used in phones. The screen is possible as well with the same tech mentioned above. Not impossible.
