This one time I went to Scotland. It rained non-stop and was freezing cold. Everyone is overweight and has false teeth. All the men are transvestites and the women look like men. I would love us to do more to deal with some of the oppression in this world, obviously war is off the agenda but we could put far more pressure on regimes if we wanted to, instead of appeasment.

The Election commission did a full investigation into this matter, there is no way that the vote was rigged so much that labour managed a majority of 6000.

We are in Afghanistan because on 9/11 a NATO ally was attacked, 67 British citizens were killed. Those responsible for the attacks were hiding in afghanistan being protected by the taliban.
So we removed them from power, enabled a democratic election in Afghanistan, now we are trying to provide security whilst the afghan security forces is trained up and the government strenghtened so the country is stable enough for us to withdraw.
Thats what happened in Iraq, and British troops have left

I would love us to do more to deal with some of the oppression in this world, obviously war is off the agenda but we could put far more pressure on regimes if we wanted to, instead of appeasment.
The big difference is we were attacked, giving us total right under international law for the operations in Afghanistan. Whilst we are there we may aswell try to improve the lives of its citizens, create as moderate a government as possible and spread human rights.

The figures i quote are what got the SNP into government in Scotland, its important to point out to people that whilst there is a separatist administration there, only 35% voted for it. Now we will not know how different things are until the next elections, the SNPs support may of increased but not enough to turn 35% to over 50%.
The European electons are another indicator. Again 60%+ of the vote went to unionist parties. The separatist SNP got 30% and thats with labours / westminsters troubles

The 30 billion pound budget spent by the Scottish parliament doesnt cover all things spent in Scotland. For example does it cover social security like unemployment benefits and careers allowance? worth billions.
Does it cover foreign affairs? Defence, National security, debt repayment, aid? the 30+ billion for the Royal Bank of Scotland is ONTOP of all other expenditure spent for Scotland by the UK government.
