it was too fast, our prestigous jazz choir had to sing this song and that is definitely not the count. you guys did horrible on this song. the end dow wasnt even high enough and it was barely there.
lmao eeeasy there champ. first of all, not all music has to be the same. performing a song is a portrayal of interpretation. noone said it had to be the same tempo as yours ;)
and also we (random jazz vocalists that met at a camp for a week) had less than a week to learn this song. i personally thought it was great. it felt great, and that's what matters. shesh!
If this is the Dave Cazier arrangement, which I think it is, then this should be faster, if you're going to be strict. That be said, they did it however they want to. And regardless, this isn't a song you can do slow, otherwise you risk boring the hell out of the audience.

i still think it sounded more like something you would hear at an elementary school this "portrayal" brought disgrace to St. Thomas Way. period.
