@yoshielectron I think I found a way for you to make the Star be "hovering": I visited much your site , when I paid attention to 3 special codes :

Remove Body of Mario but it lets only the head be visible.

Use of a code to switch the mario's head to a goomba's head.

Mario has Starmans for hands.

Removing the body ,you keep the head for polygons ,and use the same code you used to change head to a star instead of a goomba ,probably as you did for hands in "Mario has Starmans for hands".

You know that this is the same thing as others codes, although you did make the PAL version, but NTSC is the same EXACT thing. Oh well. Just ONE sloppy code wont do much I guess...

Simply the star GFX pointers are availible in each level. With the star's polygons it makes it look like mario is below ground do to mario's premade polygons. Since this is avalible in every level it is a common object like a box or goomba thus making it possible to be in any level. Each polygon of the star meets with mario's polygons in a way that makes an odd collision.

What?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Do you even understand how the game handles objects? There are a list of gfx pointers always in memory, change them and the objects will look different provided the gfx is available in every level which the star video illustrates.

So what happens if you put in the play as Peach code and you go into a level? Do you just turn back into Mario?

The game crashes. Peach gfx are only available outside castle until someone can find a way around that problem.

I dunno. The point is at least 50,000,000 PPl already made this code so this is what it looks like: You Started GREAT but started doing premade ideas. Maybe I can edit the origonal code of this so the star FLOATS!

What is your problem with me? You obviously don't realize how the game works and the significance of this code. If we're to have Peach playable in any level you'll need a code like this. You have no right to have a go at me just because it looks like another code. Have a look at the code, tell me how it works and why its different to everyone else's code.
