the m16 just isn't balanced. That's why ppl hate it. It has small recoil, good clip size, good hip fire, no idle sway, and oh yeah, per bullet does a damage of 40 (out of 100 base health), so all this means that the gun can kill a juggernaut all the way across a map as he is in mid sprint across your screen in one burst, and then kill a shotgunner in CQ combat with one shot of hip fire. It is the best gun in the game clearly because IW decided not to balance it.Every other weapon is balanced

You shouldn't think that way. The other assault rifles are not as reliable as that rifle however you twist it. And level has nothing to do with your choice of weapons. The best weapons, the weapons that covers and/or specialices in its fields are the one you gain in the levels 1-10. The Kalashnikov, M16, M40A3 (standard sniper), MP5 and the pump shotgun. Only exeption must be the LMG. The only noteable weapons you get after level 10 is the desert eagle and the ak74u
