At about 2:47 it reminds me of a special effects trick on Blue's Clues. There's a little bit in the ABC episode where Blue is holding a book in her ears. At first it is flat animation but when Steve picks it up, it's suddenly a prop. In this case, it turns from 3-D animation to prop. Cool!
Its a bit rough but works OK. I actually did the animation after the video was recorded. It allowed me to match the 3D book to the real one I hand to Arthur. It was great fun.
I will keep this in mind. Again thanks and you will have more visits to your site. I have been spreading the words. There families out here don't know about youtube.
Thank you! We are in the writing stage of a new one, A Picnic With Bert. We will be using green screen to put the narrator into the picture and 3D techniques to give it a more realistic feel but not animated.
Thank you. The author of this story is an illustrator for Disney comics. He gave me permission to show this video. There are 3 books in this series and my son and I are going to make a 3 story version, redesigned to better fit small children and incorporating the suggestions of the author, William Van Horn. I imagine there will be even more outtakes!
