im very angury with cunard this ship is a copy of a vista class this the likes of

"Noordam", "Costa Deliziosa" & "Eurodam" it took from 1998 to 2003 to design plane & build "Queen Mary 2" and took only 3 years to design QV & QE all the did was slap some black, whit & red panit on this make some faney rooms and charge nearly £15000 to travil on her, it is pissing me off what happend to the unice looking ships of the 50s there all the same now

the Cunard Queens are nice ships and do carry out the good ol' ocean liner tradition proudly, but it's a shame that only the Queen Mary 2 is a true ocean liner. the Queen Victoria and new Queen Elizabeth are nothing more than repainted Zuiderdams. :( i love Cundard, but those two ships were redesigned. i'm not saying that not nice, it's just that they falling into the 'same design, different names' sort of deal. but i still support Cunard and it's fine maritime heritage. :)

Grateful merely because Cunard still exists? Puhlleaase. You do realize Cunardival barely exists on its own now? That Cunard is managed, directed and run by Princess/P&O Cruises? That the Icky Vicky and the soon to be clone QE have been designed by Princess/P&O Cruises? The idea of Cunard as a brand is long gone, it's a commercial item now, much like Walmart or McDonalds. The growth under carnival's stewardiship is undeniable. The issue I have with Carnival's management is the corporate philosphy of CCL is prevelant in all their brands. The qualities that made these divisions so attractive to buy is now gone. Cunard has been watered down with the same ships, designers and suppliers as ALL the brands they have. Cunard is managed by P&O/Princess Cruises. Carol Marlow, President of Cunard answers to P&O/Princess President.

Fact: Cunard is designed and implemented by P&O/Princess Lead Designer Therese Anderson. Cunard is the end result of its own competition.

Fact: Princess cruises manages Cunard's passenger operations and rotates staff with them. This is your "ocean liner brand".

It's Cunard speak...Cunard is the "ocean liner brand" of Carnival Cruises. What is interesting is this "ocean liner", when her budget was running low, was given plastic decks (which I hear are already showing wear). Instead of investing in the brand to get the look right Carnival decides it is more important to stay on budget than do the job right. It isn't that the Vicky is bad, with so much recycled it is disappointing to see this was the best they could do. Oceania and Disney are more liners.
